Hello from team Zambia!

Since our last report we have wrapped up our time in the bush and traveled back to Ndola Base for two days, and now we’re in Livingstone doing our sightseeing!

So, let me catch you all up!

On Friday, we traveled back to Ndola and we praise the Lord for safe journeys. On our way back, we all had a chance to stop at ShopRite to get some goodies and snacks for travel and sightseeing. The kids had a blast!

After arriving back to a warm welcome at Ndola base, we unpacked and headed to bed to get some much needed rest!

Saturday was spent catching up on memory verses, and lots of dusty laundry! The leaders were also able to go into town to stock up on a few items.

Sunday morning we were up at 3:30 AM to pack our bus for what ended up being a 14 hour bus ride. From Ndola all the way down to Livingstone!

It was a long journey, but it all went well and we were safe which was a blessing!

This morning we awoke at our lodge and had some breakfast and then headed out on our Game Park ride. We were able to see; elephants, rhinos, giraffes, zebras, monkeys, impalas and more! So amazing!

On our itinerary next is a sunset cruise on the Zambezi River this evening along with dinner.

Tomorrow we will visit Victoria Falls and do our souvenir shopping!

Early Wednesday we will travel back to Ndola Base and be there until our flight out on Saturday.

We cannot believe our time in Zambia is coming to a close. We’ve had such an amazing time here and are so thankful for all God has done and is continuing to do!

As promised, here’s some testimonies from the kids (and leaders :))

2. The bush was incredible and eye opening. It was truly amazing to see the joy in the Zambian people and how God worked in our time here. -Annika S.

3. During the trip, I had two prayers answered. For one, I really don’t care anymore what people think of me as long as God is pleased. The other is that lots of people came to repentance because we came to Zambia. -Maranatha R.

4. It’s been awesome to play with the little African kids who are content with the clothes on their backs. Also, seeing the joy and surprise in people’s eyes when their eyeglasses worked was very encouraging. -Benjamin S.

5. This summer has been such an eye opener and God has shown me so much. One of those being that I need to hold my own plans for the future in a loose hand. -Josh N.

9. My time in the bush of Zambia has taught me two things: 1. God is the same in the wilderness as He is in civilization, 2. Joy comes from your hearts perspective, not material things. I thank God for all the small things. -Acelyn W.
