Hi from Rukumberi!

Since Monday the team has continued working diligently on the foundation of the school room we are building. Our kitchen ladies have really been creative as they have learned to cook meals over fire. It’s like a movie scene watching the ladies cook over the fire and rocks with chickens and goats all around.

Water was extremely scarce the first week of our trip but since we have been here the Rwandan government has repaired a pipe across the road allowing for our team to carry buckets of water for laundry and baths every other day. (The team is extremely grateful for this).
We hope to have the foundation finished tomorrow and begin to lay brick next week.

We feel like we are a live museum exhibit as the locals are always gathered around watching us.

Testimonies:
Hi mom and dad, I’m doing great! We’ve almost finished the foundation on the classrooms. We should start laying bricks in a few days. Love you and miss you! -Eliana

I am still alive and having a great time. Mrs. Mary and her food helpers have been feeding us well. The project is going well. We have been learning a lot about how they do construction here. All is well. -Levi S
