Indonesia Team Travel Rundown
Team Indonesia has officially been commissioned and has left the Teen Missions Florida property! I’m writing to you from one of our layover destinations in the Republic of Korea, where we’ll be spending a total of 11 hours before continuing on our journey. If you asked any member of the team what day it is right now, you probably wouldn’t get a straight answer. In reality, we time traveled and skipped Tuesday! But let’s rewind a bit. After our commissioning service, we spent Sunday taking down the Big Top alongside our fellow teams that were also departing on Monday. By 11:30 a.m., the Big Top was completely down, leaving us the rest of the day to pack, do laundry in a real washing machine (it will be back to buckets once we arrive in Indonesia!), and enjoy real showers in the dorms the teams moved into after commissioning. Sunday evening, after dinner and once everything was packed and ready, we loaded the team into a van for one last stop—Walmart! It gave everyone the opportunity to pick up any last-minute odds and ends they wanted before heading overseas. Monday morning came bright and early as we made our way to the airport, and from there everything has been a bit of a blur. We flew from Orlando to Chicago, where we had a two-hour layover. From Chicago, we continued on to Los Angeles, which many of the team members would say has been the highlight of the trip so far. We had to walk outside from Terminal 7 to Terminal B, and the Southern California weather felt sublime after two weeks in the swamp! From LAX, we boarded our longest flight yet—a 13-hour journey that brought us safely to Seoul. We’ll be here for about 10 more hours before boarding our final flight to Jakarta, Indonesia. Please continue praying for safe travels, good health, divine appointments along the way, and that all 25 of our checked bags arrive safely with us in Indonesia. We are so grateful for your prayers and support as God leads us on this adventure.
