Things have been busy around the base as we've started into our daily schedule. Between work, devos, quiet time, Bible study, bath and laundry, and some free time, the team members and leaders are staying busy. We've been working on moving materials to our work site and have started to prepare the base for the boot camp here that takes place in the beginning of August. We're beginning to put the OC together and have been bringing in the benches for their rallies. It's exciting to have the opportunity to help the Malagasy people get prepared. We've had some sickness but, praise the Lord, those who were sick are now well into recovery. We've been encouraging everyone to drink water with electrolytes and that's been helping a lot. Pray that everyone would remain healthy! We plan on taking a trip to the beach this Saturday and then getting pizza and ice cream at a local restaurant. Both team members and leaders are looking forward to a fun trip. The weather has been perfect which will make the trip even more enjoyable. We are so thankful it's not too hot and there's a constant breeze as we work. The kitchen and KP have been doing well! Ms. Mari, Ms. Shannon, and Ms. Beth have been working hard to prepare delicious meals to feed all twenty five of us, and they've been succeeding! Dishes like taco casserole, BLTs, spaghetti, banana bread, brownies, and banana pudding have been a hit! We've been blessed with many fresh fruits and lots of vegetables which we're very thankful for. We've all been doing well and have been enjoying our time here in Madagascar. Pray for the health of our team and for us to continue to grow more unified every day. Also, pray for patience with one another and for opportunities to be a light for Jesus.
Thank you for your prayers!
In Madagascar, we have been working on bringing sand and gravel from piles and hauling it in bags to the work site. It's a hard but fun job. So far, I've had a really great experience here and when we are working, we get to meet some of the Malagasy students. They're really cool. -Clara W.
Hi, Everyone! We finally arrived at the base in Mahajanga and are getting into a routine. We've started work and have been able to interact with the BMW students here and learn about their culture. I've been able to see the town outside the base a few times and it's been really cool to see all the people and how they live. I can't wait to meet more people and to visit the Sunday schools here. -Levi S.
Our base has been amazing! I have been on sand crew shoveling sand onto a truck and hauling it to mix it. The students that we have been getting to know have been so cool, and I've been having such a good time. I love my team so much, and I've been growing so much. I'm excited to see what else the Lord does this summer! -Sela T.
So far in Madagascar we've been working on moving sand and rock to our project site. The Lord has been so faithful to us in giving us the time and strength to bless the people here. -Jonah M.
