Madagascar? More like Rad-a-gascar!

Thursday, July 10

What a day! The team woke up thinking they were going to work on the construction project… but God had other things planned. The team got suited and ready for Sunday School Ministry outreach. They drove a total of seven hours ministered for about two. It was such a blessing for the team to go and experience the community there. It was such a cool thing for the team to experience as they got to be a part of another Teen Missions Circuit Rider ministry. The team said it was well worth the seven hours of driving! Jesus is worthy.

Friday, July 11

After a long EV day on Thursday, the team got back to the grind of a full day as they prepared the concrete pouring materials. Manhandling rocks, wheelbarrowing sand, hauling cement bags, and more contributed to a heavy lifting day. The lady leaders have been delivering in the kitchen as we enjoyed a form of baked spaghetti and garlic bread in the evening.

Saturday, July 12

The weekend arrives and the team matched the energy needed. In the morning the crew got to the point they had been waiting for as we began to finally pour! The team did some steel-tying and then at around 10:45 AM, the concrete was being poured. We worked alongside the Malagasy staff and students til about noon before we broke for lunch. In the afternoon the team practiced for their Sunday church presentation and then Mr. Mike (TMI Madagascar Coordinator/Our Missionary Host) setup a treat for the team. He setup for a barber shop to come out to the guys on site at the TMI base where we are. It was an awesome time and the 8 guys that got cuts walked away looking sharp. In the evening, the team got to go out and see the town. They got to go out to the grocery store and then go see the towns central Baobab tree.

Sunday, July 13

To close out the weekend, we enjoy our time at church. The team did a great job in their presentation and were a blessing to the congregation. After our church activities, we came back to the base for a time of rest before heading to the beach! The team seemed to really enjoy that and have a lot of fun just being together. It was a really good reset before we head into our last full week here. It is unbelievable to think that this will be our last full week here. The team has done a great job of not looking ahead to the next thing, but being able to maximize the present. As the head leader, that brings me so much joy and also inspires me to do the same.

We want to thank you again for allowing us the opportunity to spend time with your youth and watch them serve the Lord. We give God all the Glory.

Testimonies from the Team:

Hey! What’s up?!
It’s been a real pleasure to be here in Madagascar. I’ve seen the Lord use things like soccer and the project time to bring me closer to the community. I’ve really enjoyed the quality time spent with the Malagasy staff and students while they teach me some of the language. The Lord has done an amazing work in our team and has brought us together so quickly and thoroughly. This team has awesome unity. Shoutout to Mrs. Meredith Morgan, Mrs. Jessie Minassian, and Mrs. Kristy Tucker. P.S….I miss you, mom. -Jeremiah. H

Hi, everyone!
I have really loved our time in Madagascar so far. The Sunday Schools have been a really fun highlight this summer. Getting the kids to join in and experiencing fellowship with them as been so fun. I have loved getting to know the staff here at the Teen Missions base and trying to learn some Malagasy from them. Visiting the churches here and joining in with their worship has been a really great experience. Shoutout to Mrs. Kristin Sellars, my Mom and my Dad. -Lilly. M

Prayer Requests:
Pray for continual health and safety for the team
Pray for the ministry outreaches the team partakes in during their last full week
Pray that we are able to continue maximizing the moments the Lord has given us as a team

Blessings,
A Madagascar Leader
