Planting seeds in the Northern Peninsula Area

It has been another full and rewarding week of ministry for our Australia team! On Thursday, our team traveled to Seisia, where we helped clean up trash along the beach at a local campground. It was a practical way to serve the community and care for God’s creation. That evening, we visited a nearby playground where we spent time playing with the children, building relationships, and sharing the hope of the Gospel. It was encouraging to see conversations begin as we simply invested time in the lives of those around us. Friday brought a fun change of pace for the team with a “dude day” in the kitchen, as our male leaders took over meal preparation while the female leaders went to the work site with the team. The meals turned out well and the team seemed to enjoy them. The rest of the team spent the day serving through cleanup projects at local beaches and parks in Injinoo, helping care for the beautiful communities that have welcomed us so warmly. On Saturday, we had the opportunity to learn more about the history of the Northern Peninsula Area. We visited the site of a World War II DC-3 aircraft crash and later stopped at a memorial honoring those who lost their lives in a tragic plane crash in 2005 that deeply impacted many local families. We also explored several local shops, giving the team an opportunity to learn more about the culture and support local businesses. Sunday was a wonderful day of worship and ministry. Our team participated in the church service by presenting dramas, singing, and sharing personal testimonies of what God has been doing in our lives. It is always a privilege to worship alongside believers from another culture and be reminded that we are all part of God’s family. We ended the day with a relaxing evening at the Seisia Pier, watching the sun set over the Torres Strait while trying our hand at fishing. It was a beautiful reminder of God’s incredible creation and a chance for our team to reflect on all He has been teaching us throughout this journey. As we continue serving in these communities, please pray that the relationships we are building will continue to grow and that the seeds of the Gospel being planted will bear lasting fruit. Pray for strength, wisdom, and open hearts as we seek to faithfully represent Christ in everything we do. As we enter our final week here, thank you for partnering with us through your prayers and encouragement. We are grateful for your support as we finish strong for God’s glory!

Eli M - Hello, friends and family! I’m going to share what God has been doing in my life this summer. I’ve really seen God’s faithfulness throughout this entire trip so far and how He has provided gospel opportunities through things our team would never expect.
