… Hardly working, just kidding! We have had a slow week when it came to our retaining wall and outdoor dinning room projects because of lack of material. Hopefully in this coming week will have more material and be able to complete our projects Friday and Saturday The team ran out of work to do however, we were given the opportunity to visit a local children’s ministry on Saturday so most of Friday the team worked on their presentation and activities for the children. Friday afternoon we had a really cool opportunity to go visit the village leader. She welcomed us into her home and fed us snacks and gave us tea. It is truly inspiring to see how well BMW Wonogiri has established their relationship with the Muslim culture here. The Christians in this area are very well respected by their neighbors, and it’s very encouraging to see because it is not like this throughout the whole of Indonesia. Afterwards, the team went out to dinner and we got a 5% discount on our meal because the restaurant owners wanted to hang a picture of us in the restaurant so I guess we are a guest of honors at “Resto Jawi” restaurant in Wonogiri, Indonesia. Friday morning we left to the children’s ministry. The ministry is run by staff and BMW students here. There were about 20 children in attendance the team sang for them. Classic songs like “I will call upon the Lord”, “Rock, Sword, Shield” and “Whether it rains”. Additionally, they did puppets and drama, and explained the wordless bracelet to the children. Isaiah W. And Grey G. Taught the children some English, and also some basic arithmetic. They also played many many rounds of duck duck goose. Afterwards, the team had fellowship and lunch with the staff. This morning we headed to church. We did not have to go very far. It was about a 15 minute drive the team gave a presentation. They sang “Washed” and “10,000 reasons”. We spent about an hour after church fellowship with the congregation then took the team to a supermarket to buy more snacks (like they need more snacks). Then we went to A restaurant by the reservoir and where Mrs. Delaynie ordered a bunch of appetizers for the team to share and try. I think it’s fair to say this team really enjoys Indonesian food however some members do not appreciate spice. Looking into this coming week, which is our last full week here in Indonesia, we are praying that the Lord will provide the material that we need and the work that we required to keep everybody busy to complete our work project before we leave in Indonesia.
Please pray for continued good health so far the Lord has really protected us and we know he Will continually do so!

Hello Everyone! We’ve been in Indonesia for a little over a week and I am loving it! We have met so many friendly people and have been absolutely blessed by our hosts here at the base. Today, we had the opportunity to visit a local church. Worshiping God with people I’ve never met in a different language is truly an awesome experience! Thank you for your continued support in prayer as we continue to serve the Lord here in Indonesia! Love and miss you all! - Helen M.
