Abigail Hurlbert

Abigail was born in Honolulu, Hawaii, as an Air Force brat. Living in Germany, Korea, and multiple states in the US, her desire to travel and see more of the Lord’s creation was instilled in her from a very young age.

Her first exposure to international missions occurred when she had just completed her 11th-grade year in high school. One of her close friends had served on a summer mission trip with Teen Missions in Fiji, sparking her curiosity. Her relationship with the Lord had been cultivating and growing for a couple of years before her summer team, but her calling into ministry was made much clearer because of her experiences. She was blessed to go to Tanzania with Teen Missions International to serve on a footwashing team during the summer of 2021.

Upon returning home, during her senior year of high school, she applied to the Sojourner School of Ministry with Teen Missions International for Bible school. She served in Florida at the home base of Teen Missions beginning in the Fall of 2022. Since then, she has led summer teams to Australia and Germany, served a year-long internship at the Teen Missions base in Tewantin, Australia, and led a Teen Missions Australia team to the Philippines! 

Abigail completed her commitment with Teen Missions and earned her diploma at the Sojourner School of Ministry in August of 2025. Now, after much prayer and seeking, she has clearly felt the Lord’s leading to return to Florida and serve once again alongside the incredible staff at Teen Missions. She asks for your prayers for guidance and provision in this exciting new chapter of her journey with the Lord.
