Emily Brumbelow Newsletter (Fall 2023)
Dearest Supporters,
What a blessing it is to be writing this update for you all!
Bolivia:
This summer was amazing and I got to see God do a lot of cool things. After a busy but good Boot Camp my team of 19 teens and four fellow leaders made our way to Montero, Bolivia. We were able to work alongside local missionaries to help build a secondary building for a local church that will be used for teaching children. The team did an amazing job on the worksite and made such awesome progress. They had to start at NOTHING and ended with several feet of the walls built up. Praise the Lord!
The team was also able to do lots of evangelism throughout surrounding cities! God is so good. This was one of my favorite teams I’ve led, and I miss the teens so very much. Thank you for all your prayers and support throughout the summer. They were felt and appreciated.
Travel/Vacation:
After the summer teams wrapped up and I finished up some things at work, my dad came down to Florida for a visit and we had such a blast. After a few days, he drove me up to Georgia and I was there until September 1st. It was so nice to be home again for a little bit and be with my family. I was also able to see some different supporters and share at my home church in GA. Dad and I also made a trip to the river, and I got to go with some friends to the Georgia Aquarium for the first time! It was a relaxing and refreshing time.
Back to Work & School:
On September 5th I was back in the office and catching up on different things. Mostly working on preparing for our incoming students! On September 11th we had all of our students arrive for the fall term. We have five second-year students and seven in their first year. Twelve altogether! What an absolute blessing they are. I’m teaching this term (Christian Evidences) and loving it so far! I appreciate your prayers as I continue to Coordinate the Bible school and teach. It’s a big job at times, but one I absolutely love doing. The students bring so much joy to my life.
My other job (finance) is also going well! Soon we will once again begin working on our fiscal year-end audit. I definitely appreciate prayers for this as well.
Other Tidbits:
Recently, we as staff and students of TMI traveled two hours away for a retreat together. It was an awesome time of fellowship, fun, and good discussions about the ministry. I enjoyed getting this time away and also spending more time with everyone!
Something fun I have upcoming is the opportunity to travel with the Sojourner students to Australia in December! All of us will be there from the 4th until the 20th! We will help to set up and run their national Boot Camp (training time). We’ll be involved in different work projects and setup, as well as ministering and working with Australian teens. I’m so excited to go! We appreciate your prayers as we prepare for this.
As of right now, we are already preparing for summer 2024 for our US teams! We have around 80 team members already registered among the 14 different teams. So exciting! At this time, I’m scheduled to lead a team to Africa. I’ll of course keep you guys updated as I know more.
An Overseas Update:
I wanted to include some testimonies from overseas. Just so you all can be aware of the work going on worldwide. Here are some testimonies from Tanzania and their Sunday School Ministry:
“Tindigani location- Hello; I would like to give a short story about a little girl named Amani Laizer. On 29 July 2023 we were amazed at how the children were very bold to start the session even without us being there, as we reached we found these children singing and praising the Lord together. We were encouraged by this because even out of our presence the children already know what to do.”
“Mwanzi location- We thank God for this ministry, we are surviving because of His grace, so we need to thank Him daily. This place has few children because we are surrounded by Muslim people, children are not willing to come especially the Islamic families, but if we join together in prayers so that God may help these people to allow their children to come and learn, because He always on our side, He always listens us in whatever we ask is there to answer us, we need your prayer in order this ministry may grow and have good attendance.”

Thank you:
Thank you so much for your prayers and support. I’m so thankful and grateful for each of you. My monthly support has risen some recently which I’m so thankful for. I am praying for more ministry partners to come alongside me. I would like to raise around $600 more each month to meet my monthly budget through Teen Missions. I ask you to prayerfully consider partnering with me through the ministry of Teen Missions. Here’s a link to the online donation portal: https://teenmissions.org/missionary/brumbelow.
Many blessings & much love,
