Sarah Evans Newsletter (Winter 2022)

Sarah Evans Newsletter (Winter 2022)

Dear Friends and Family,

Praying that each and every one of you are blessed.  After the summer I got to spend time with my family and dear friends!  Upon returning to Teen Missions, a bunch of us ladies went out to ice cream together.  We had a blast talking with each other and getting to know one another better.  Another good experience was attending a beach baptism that my church held. I thoroughly enjoyed the worship music before and during the service.

I am currently still working in the Land Crew Department.  My days are filled with various jobs such as painting, cleaning, and yard work.  There is much work to be done on our 250 acres, so I basically do whatever is needed.  It’s fun to have the camaraderie with my fellow workers and since we all share the faith, we sharpen one another.

I enjoy volunteering with other ministries.  My friend and I served with Compassion International at a For King and Country concert.  What a blessing to have been a part of that!  I also still volunteer at the horse therapy farm on Saturdays.  What a joy it is to watch the children enjoy their time with the horses.

The holidays are my favorite time of the year.  This year I got to decorate more than one Christmas tree.  Teen Missions had an annual Christmas party which was magical and decorated beautifully.  The food was delicious and the fellowship wonderful.  A lady on staff invited me to the women’s Christmas party at her church.  Gathering together with so many christian ladies was so special.

Teen Missions participated in two Christmas parades this year.  Our float’s theme was “A Charlie Brown Christmas”.  How fun it was to hand out candy to the children and share the love of Jesus with the community.

Over the Christmas season, national Boot Camps ran in a number of countries including Zimbabwe, Zambia, South Africa, Tanzania and Honduras. Teen Missions is also privileged to be training over 700+ students in 27 Bible Schools worldwide and is running over 442 weekly Sunday Schools reaching over 40,000 children, youth and adults with the life-saving Gospel of Jesus Christ.

What I treasure so much at Teen Missions are the relationships.  We work together, share our lives, and oftentimes grab coffee or share a meal together.  The older staff are such an example and encouragement to me.  Their dedication is so inspiring to me.  God has been so faithful to me and gives me joy and strength each day!  May everyone who reads this newsletter be richly blessed.  One passage of scripture that I have been meditating on for a while is Psalms 23. The Lord truly is a Shepherd that takes care of His people.

In Christ,

Sarah Evans
