Timothy & Ellie Petersen Newsletter (Winter 2025)

Greetings from the Petersens in cold Florida!

We hope this letter finds you well, blessed, and warm. Our prayer is that God is working profoundly in your life as you continue to serve and pursue Him. It is an incredible journey, and we feel so fortunate to know a God who loves and cares for us so deeply and intimately. Ellie and I (Timothy) are in a season of gratitude as we reflect on the Lord’s provisions. Whether in times of uncertainty or seasons of clarity, we know that Christ is reigning. We pray that you can see this truth as we share what has been happening in our lives and ministry with the Lord.

What’s going on in the Lord’s ministry at Teen Missions?

Since our last newsletter in September, Ellie and I have been thoroughly enjoying our various roles at TMI. Ellie has been busy coordinating with our volunteers and is absolutely loving it. We currently have about 10 volunteers who have arrived to serve alongside our staff here at HQ. A significant part of Ellie’s job involves communicating with these volunteers before they even arrive, which is exciting in itself. However, the joy of seeing them finally here after all the preparations is truly amazing!

Ellie has also been hard at work collaborating with our president and contractors on designs for the new Display Room that is being renovated. I praise the Lord for blessing me with such a creative wife who enjoys designing and decorating—she has more than enough of that talent for both of us!

As for me, I have been busy at work in our US Teams Department. While maintaining my normal jobs like leader paperwork/logistics, Ministry Safe, etc, I have been tasked with working on an accreditation program. TMI is striving towards being an accredited member with MissionExcellence whose main ministry is to help churches and parachurch organizations excel in missions. I, along with one of the Sojourner students, Audrey, have been working on assessing our program and getting ourselves ready for the review that will be happening later in the Spring with MissionExcellence. I’m also busy working on our Spring Break teams that will be in NY and Florida in the latter part of March!

What’s to come for the Petersens?

Christmas came and went which means that after our Spring Break teams, summer ministry is coming. At the moment, Ellie and I have been asked to lead the Madagascar team which we are ecstatic about! We love what we do the other 10 months out of the year when there are no teams to lead, but our favorite part of the ministry is the summer program. Being used by God to speak into young people’s lives is the reason we do what we do. We would appreciate your prayers as we ask God to prepare our hearts and minds for the summer ahead. We know God is going to do amazing things, we’re waiting patiently with much excitement.

How can you partner with us?

Through our generous monthly supporters, the Lord has blessed us with 74% of our monthly support goal of $3500. That’s a four percent increase since our last newsletter! We give God all the praise for bringing in the prayers and finances so that we may be in this work. Please join us in prayer as we watch God work and bring in the remaining partners!! If you feel like God is calling you to join us as a financial partner, you can do so by reading the instructions on this newsletter below. If you have any questions about partnering with us, we’d love to answer them. You can email us at [email protected].

Thank you for being a part of our ministry by sending encouragement, financial support, and, most importantly, prayers for God’s ministry. Because of the partnership you give, we are able to give all our attention to the ministry.

May God hold you and keep you as you continue to serve Him where you are.

Blessings

Timothy and Ellie Petersen
