Yonkers is a culturally diverse and vibrant inner-city community located in the shadow of New York City. It faces challenges such as poverty, housing instability, homelessness, and under-resourced schools. Yet, its residents are famous for their resilience, grit, and sense of community.

Ministry:
During your time in New York, you will have the opportunity to serve in multiple ways. Your work project will include renovating a school building that serves as a church and local ministry center.
You will also have the opportunity to do evangelism with a local ministry – Yonkers Christian Assembly – that has been bringing God’s love, hope, and practical help to the heart of the city for almost 100 years.
