Bolivia Travel Report
We are midair, somewhere between Bogota, Colombia and Santa Cruz, Bolivia. We roared off of the Teen Missions base at 9:02 AM on Sunday and made it to the airport with surprisingly little down time before boarding. Checking our 36 pieces of luggage (almost all at 50lbs each) took quite a while, but TSA security went great. Jack N. was the only one who lost toothpaste and we’ll get him more. In the airport, they smashed burgers, fries, fru-fru coffee drinks and the travel bag of food & snacks we gave them. They moved seamlessly as a well-oiled team of on-fire missionaries through the airport…no gaps in our lines, and quick in counting off for us proud leaders. Incredible…but it gets better…
Jack N. And Matthew F. sat next to a lady who had walked away from God. Jack N. said he’d never before just been so bold as he told this lady about how Jesus can save us and forgive our sins. They gave her a tract that each of us are carrying with us. About half of us were on a connecting train in Bogota and busted out singing our team’s Spanish worship song, “Yo Tengo Tanto.” We narrowly caught our Bolivia flight with 2 minutes to spare! Thanks for praying!
I would say that we’re all very tired after a rigorous Boot Camp training and we’re traveling into the morning hours. Most are trying to sleep right now on the plane- lying on each other’s shoulder- they’re like a family now.
Pray that we catch up on our sleep after arriving and gain our footing in this new land. Pray we are vigilant about filtering the water and washing fruits and veggies. Pray we have restored energy and stay well. Pray for boldness!
"So far, so good! We made it to Colombia and are flying to Bolivia in a few hours. Team unity is going well. Love and miss you all!" Simeon M.
"The Lord has been working in great ways this summer so far with how we have good health, good team unity, and good travel. I would like to thank the leaders and parents who helped this trip go well." Malachi A.

"We are in South America finally. This is the first time out of the country for some of us and we can’t wait to see what it’s like. One more plane ride to go." Lucas H.
"It’s been so great. So far we made it to Colombia. So far this trip has been so good to me and also for my teammates. We have one more plane to Bolivia and I can’t wait to share the Gospel there." Matthew F.
