Commissioning is coming!
Our team is doing much better on the obstacle course! Today we completed the obstacle course without disqualifying and were able to get 11 team members over the wall. Tomorrow is our last day to run it. Leaders get to run tomorrow with the team and let me tell you the team members are really excited for that! We had a couple of cool nights this week which made for great sleeping in the tents! Our tent site is well shaded and does not flood when it rains which is a huge bonus. It does still get muddy so we have to work at keeping the tents clean. The boys are all in 8 man tents with 3-4 boys in each tent. The girls share a four man tent. All the tents are on raised platforms which helps keep the tents dry. Thankfully, our team members have been great about keeping the windows and doors closed so we haven't had too much of a water problem in the tents. This is our last week of classes and tomorrow is our last day of classes. The team has been learning puppets, drama, and a variety of construction tasks like cement mixing and laying. Today we had the Sunday School Ministry class which was really fun for the team. They learned to make balloon puppets, tell bible stories and play some fun games. Friday and Saturday are pack out days! We will be packing up our tent sites and preparing to leave for Guatemala! Our next report will be from Guatemala. In case you didn't know, we have a crew of volunteers taking photos at boot camp. Check out the pictures each day on the Teen Missions Facebook page. The rallies are also livestreamed each night on the Teen Missions Youtube page at 7:30pm. Both are a great opportunity to see our team members in action. Did you know you can email your team member while they are at Boot Camp? They would love to hear from you before we leave Saturday night! Their email address would follow this format: 26002 first initial last name @lordsbootcamp.org (no spaces). Finally, expect phone calls home this Saturday night or possibly Sunday morning. If you get a call from a number you don't recognize, its probably your team member. They will be using the leader's cell phones. Pray that we finish well and everyone stays healthy for travel. Love from the Guatemala Team! We miss you
I'm living through the family of Christ here. Miss all of you at home. -Hudson A
I'm having a really good time. I'm really tired but that's okay. It’s going really well. Miss you Mom & Dad. -Gus T
I like my tentmates but our tentsite is really pretty far away. My favorite class was The Truth about Aliens with Paul Veit. -Bradley B
I really like the Evangelism class and free time. I really enjoyed Sunday with four hours of free time. -Christian O
