God is Good All the Time!

As I write this, we are entering our last week here in Sweden! Since our last report, our team has finished serving the YWAM Camp Reconnect program. The lady leaders are looking forward to cooking for our 23 people rather than the 170 people they were feeding! It was a blessing to work behind the scenes during the camp so that the former staff could relax and reconnect with one another. On the work site, we have officially finished painting the front side of the White House! Praise the Lord! This building serves as the campus cafe and generates money for the ministry. We are excited to see how God will use it! We also mostly finished clearing sections of overgrown trees around the property. The property was already beautiful, but these additions are really adding to the beauty and productivity of the base. We are also halfway finished with our roofing project. We removed all the shingles, pressure washed them, and replaced bad wood. All that is left is to lay down the tar, add a new frame, and then finally put the shingles back. Friday, we unfortunately did not get to go on the EV Outreach like we had hoped. Instead we had some sweet fellowship and a great evening devo out in Gods creation led by David. Each of the team members are getting a turn and it has been so good to hear how the Lord is working in the lives of these students! On Saturday, the team took a hike together to a historical 11th century church called Restenröd Kyrka. There was a wedding taking place when they arrived, which was a fun bonus to witness! For church, we visited a Pentecostal church about 20 minutes from the YWAM base. Pingstkyrkan is a beautiful church in town and the service, worship, and fellowship with the locals was so wonderful! Our team has enjoyed the coffee, tea, and pastry shared at the end of every service that allows us to sit and chat with the Christian’s in the community here. What a blessing! At evening devos, we share about our day and collectively proclaim that “God is good all the time and all the time, God is good.” It has been powerful to experience the goodness of God during our time here in Sweden!

Karson C.- Hey! I hope y’all are having a good time. We have been painting and we also have been redoing a roof on the building. We are staying in. My favorite thing so far is meeting the Swedish people and their food.

Aiden L.- Hey everyone! We are having a really great time! You can really see the Lord working here in Restenäs. Love and miss my family! Praying for the Lears, Mckees, Laughlins, and Hiraks.

Caleb C.- the people here in Sweden are really kind, especially when talking to new people. We even met a guy named Eric who was on the very first Sweden team from Teen Missions. He was here for camp. I praise the Lord on how he is using us here. Especially for the work projects we are doing. Hope everyone is doing well!

Madison H.- Hey family and friends! I miss you all. I have met some really nice people. The church service today was amazing. I really like getting to know the people here. I miss you, Amy. I love you all.

Esther- Hi mom and dad, I love and miss you guys! I can’t wait to get home, but I also love Sweden. Thank you for the letters. Here in Sweden, we have been working on a variety of work projects. My personal favorite is painting because it gives the team time to talk and hang out together. My favorite thing to do during free time is to hike along the various paths with some of the team. On a deeper level, I have really enjoyed the two church services we visited. Listening to worship in a language, you don’t know helps you focus on the heart of worship.
