Greetings from the Tanzania Team!

We have had a wonderful last few days wrapping up the trip back at the main base in Moshi. We got the opportunity to do an eyeglass clinic to help out the Bible school students. In addition to this, we were also able to go to another local secondary school where we did our Gospel presentation and gave out around 40 eyeglasses to the staff and students. We have been working on songs in Swahili, and school children enjoy our renditions of “Yesu ni Wangu”, and “Karibu Yesu”.

We have also had fun fellowshipping with the Teen Missions Tanzania staff and students, as we have been attending their daily chapel services. We were also blessed with a traditional Tanzanian meal, and we also shared some American cuisine of deviled eggs and Mac & cheese.

Praise the Lord, over the entire trip, we were able to give out 217 pairs of eyeglasses and saw and prayed with 282 total people.

On Wednesday, the team had their sightseeing trip! We traveled 4 hours north in land cruisers to our beautiful overnight stay, where we were met with showers, comfortable beds, and delicious food. We then went to the Ngorogoro crater for an amazing safari experience, where we saw elephants, buffalos, zebras, hippos, wildebeasts, lions, gazelles, rhinos, and other animals. We also went to a souvenir shop and picked out some of the local handicrafts and cultural clothing.

Please continue to pray for our team as we prepare to fly back to Florida on Friday. We hope for safe travels and that all of our luggage would arrive to our destination. Thank you for your prayers for Miss Abby’s sprained ankle, we praise God for healing as the pain and swelling has subsided for the most part.

We are so blessed and are looking forward to our final 2 days in the beautiful country of Tanzania, where we will go shopping in the city for final souvenirs as well as pack everything up and prepare for travel.

Blessings!

Hey family! Tanzania has been amazing! I loved working with the kids! As a trip comes to an end I’m excited to see everyone but sad to leave after seeing all God has done! Love you guys! -Ellie T.

Hey guys! Our project is officially over and we are onto the sightseeing days. Today was the safari where we saw four of the “big five”. Tomorrow is all day shopping. Tanzania has been a dream. Can’t wait for our phone call at the airport! Love you guys so so much. -Abby R.

Hey family, today we went to the Safari and I got to see an elephant! You’ll be so impressed by my new Swahili vocabulary. So excited to see you and tell you all the wonderful stories of how God worked here in Tanzania. -Violet A.

Hello everyone! All is going very well. We got to do our sightseeing day today which was amazing. We got to see all sorts of animals on our safari, it felt so unreal! We only have a couple more days left in Africa, which is a bummer because it’s a beautiful! But we are so excited to get back and see all. -Olivia H.
