Guatemala Team is bonding well.

We have one of the farthest tent sites so lots of walking which is a good time to practice our team count off and getting safely through airports (single file line, no gaps!). We do a lot with the Honduras team because both of our teams have smaller numbers. We do the obstacle course (OC) together every day. On the first day of the OC, we 'dropped' a team member at the wall which means we didn't lower them to the ground in the proper way. Don't worry no one was hurt. But 'dropping' someone is a team SB (Service Block) so we had to give up our free time to serve it the next day. This was actually a blessing because the team learned to work together to move concrete blocks. We formed an assembly line and accomplished the task really quickly. Last week we had orientation, evangelism, music, block laying and bible classes. Block laying was a definite favorite. The team is getting their presentation together which will include three songs (even a Spanish one!) as well as puppets and a drama once we have those classes. They are learning to wash clothes (and themselves) in a bucket and how to have patience as they wait for clothes to dry on the line. On Friday they had kitchen patrol where they got to serve in the food line and help wash kitchen dishes. As a reward they also got pool time which was very much appreciated as it had been so hot and dry. The rain kicked in Friday night and cooled things off. Today is the Boot Camp missions conference so a lighter schedule. We even get pizza and milkshakes tonight!

Boot Camp is tiring. Doing the OC makes me feel better. -Nathanael E

Boot Camp is hot, sweaty and tiring. But a lot of fun. The most fun you'll ever have getting hot, sweaty and tired. -Aiden R

It's a great time. We have great leaders and the OC is fun. -Krit B

Boot camp is a lot harder that I thought, but I'm slowly learning to adapt. With that comes the ability to enjoy it all, the good and the bad. I think our team is bonding well, and I am excited to see how we will learn and grow together in the coming weeks. -Phoebe C

Boot Camp is a big experience. Love you Mom and Dad. -Nathan

Commissioning is coming!
