Hallo from Germany!

The team is doing well here, enjoying mild temperatures in the mid-60s, with cool mornings and pleasant afternoons. Some days are rainy, but the sun usually makes an appearance later.
This week has flown by as the team completed painting the first building. Now that they’re finished, they’ll shift to other tasks.

The kitchen ladies have been hard at work preparing lots of delicious treats for the team. In the afternoons, they often go on walks with the KP. On Thursday, the ladies and KP discovered a patch of cherry trees with ripe fruit. After picking three bags' worth, they made a cherry crumble for dessert. The fresh cherries here have been such a treat!

On Saturday, we took a 4.3 km walk to a nearby village, passing fields of wheat and wildflowers. The team stocked up on snacks, including favorites like Nutella and chocolate. For lunch, we enjoyed a local favorite—Bratwurst (with mustard, of course). In the afternoon, the team also enjoyed some well-deserved rest and nap time.

Today (Sunday), we visited a historic church from the 1800s. The service was in German, but a worship song translated into English allowed us to join in. The team also performed a song for the church. Afterward, we heard stories from locals who endured religious oppression under communism after WWII. It was encouraging to hear about people who stood strong in their faith when times were hard and how God brought them through it.
Another cool moment was when the team got a tour of the bell tower, which offered stunning views of the village below.

This afternoon, the team relaxed and enjoyed Bible quizzing while preparing for the busy week ahead.

While we look forward to the upcoming days, we’re also saddened to leave this beautiful country, which we’ve come to call our temporary home. The team members have grown close to each other and know that it’ll be hard to say goodbye at the end of the summer.

As we finish our last week here, please be praying that:
We will finish all the work projects we’ve started.
The team members will stay focused on what’s left of their mission here and what God wants them to accomplish.

We have safe travels as we head back to debrief in a few days.

Hey family (and friends)! I’ve been having the greatest time in Germany so far meeting new people. We have been making a lot of progress on our work projects and getting closer as a team! I’ll be really sad to leave Germany but I also can’t wait to get back home and see you all again. Love you, miss you, and I’ll see you all soon! -Moriah

First of all… happy late birthday lil bro! Germany is full of amazing scenery and amazing people that are believers. -Caleb

Germany has been such a beautiful place but even more beautiful is the supportive friendships and the trust in God that’s been growing within our team. -Emily
