Hello from hot and humid Cambodia—and it is only 5:30 AM....

It is hard to believe that we are into our last week in Cambodia. So many memories made and there is still time to make many more! We will be working today and tomorrow. On Wednesday, we will do a massive cleaning and pack for our trip to Siem Reap and back to the States. On Thursday morning, we will get up, have breakfast and devotions and then board our bus for the four-hour trip to Siem Reap. We are looking forward to real beds, AC, a swimming pool and shopping on Thursday and visiting Angkor Wat and shopping on Friday. We will leave bright and early on Saturday morning for the airport and begin our long trek home.

It has been busy since our last report. Friday afternoon, after working in the morning, we traveled to KC and boarded boats for a "cruise" on Lake Tonle Sap. It opened our eyes to how many people in Cambodia live—so much poverty. Everyone enjoyed the outing and we stopped at our favorite store (Setra) for some iced coffee and other goodies.

On Saturday, some of the team members were able to go and help with the Sunday School ministry one last time. On Sunday, we traveled to a Muslim village where we did a presentation at a church. The church graciously fed us a delicious lunch. The afternoon was spent making up a GG class, getting caught up on verses, doing a verse review and quiz off. Sasha led the evening devotions, which had us laughing, but also realizing how deep a short message can be.

Right now, the kids are off to the work site, breakfast is in the oven, Lauren is putting together a fruit salad to go with breakfast and KP (Sadie and Ruby) are setting up the dishline and then will plan their dessert to make. We are looking forward to beef stew for lunch and Kraft Mac and Cheese for supper. We are down to the single digits in the number of meals to plan and fix. This team has been a blessing to feed—they eat a lot and are not picky at all!

One of our highlights every day is seeing the sunsets and sunrises. The other day, the team asked to sit "outside" so they could watch the sun set—kinda like a sunset cruise, but without the boat, water and cuisine...

Another highlight for me is hearing the laughter after evening devotions, as the students, staff and team members play games. Despite the language barrier, they are having a great time getting to know one another.

Please pray that we will remain focused on what God has called us to do this summer and that we will savor and make use of every moment we have together as a team here in Cambodia.

And a word from some of our team members:

The work is good. EV is good. The food is good. God is good. - Rachel

I can't believe our trip is coming to an end. It has been so fun and I've learned so much! Today we went evangelizing to the children and I absolutely loved it! I loved the smiles on the children's faces as we acted out Bible stories, sang songs and played games. - Shannon

Hey! I can't believe that our time here is coming to an end. We have made a lot of progress on the building; it has been so cool to see how far we have come. One of my favorite parts of the day is our group Bible study where we all sit under a tree and dive into God's Word. Yesterday, we had a very relaxing boat ride. I enjoyed a little nap, talking to my friends and getting to see more of Cambodia. A few days ago, I got to go and do EV with a group and I had so much fun. I don't know if I am looking forward to sleeping in a real bed or seeing Angkor Wat more. Both will be a blessing! Lots of love! - Ava

I'm having a great time here in Cambodia. My favorite food so far has been crickets. God has been teaching me a lot about relying on His strength and not my own. It has been a good summer! - Sadie

We have had a lot of fun so far and with the blessing of a cement mixer, the project has been going well. On Saturday, we went on a boat ride which was fun. Yesterday was our last Sunday in Cambodia. It has been great so far and I cannot wait to see what the Lord does with us next. - Hosea

Yesterday was a non-mandatory fun day. We went on a 1 1/2 hour boat ride and in the evening, we played some games with the Cambodian staff and students. I have had a great time in Cambodia and I am waiting to see what God has in store for us. - Deegan
