Hungary Team Update: So far so good….

Hello to the friends and family of the Hungary team! We’re now two days into our time here, and God has been working. We thank God that our travel here went as smoothly as possible. When we got here the hosts had lunch already prepared for us. Everyone really enjoyed it! The past two days we had our first camp, and though it’s been hard, it’s been amazing to see how the kids have really stepped up. We have them divided into four groups. Huck M., Juliette M., Simeon K., and Eliza P. have the highschool group. Esther Y., Finn S., Brooke F., and Amaya G. have the middle schoolers. Carina C., Micah T., Anna V., and Gabby B. have the younger kids. And last but not least, Isaiah M., Katrina S., and Judah W. have the youngest children. They’ve all been given the opportunity to teach them English lesson. They’ve also loved playing games with them. It’s been cool to see the Lord work through them. For the rest of the week, we’ll finish up our English camp, and then we’ll possibly do some sightseeing in Budapest on Saturday. We’re thankful for everyone on this team, and also for your prayers. We would appreciate prayers for the rest of week as we serve the people here, and for safety as we do it. We hope everyone is doing well! Blessings!

“Dear Mom and Dad, We have safely arrived in Hungary, and have already taught two days at the English camp here in Hungary. Most of the people that we have met have been friendly. Here in Hungary we have both hot and cold water in our showers, and we have real beds with some very nice mattresses. The food has been very good. We still need to do our laundry in our buckets, but that is all. God has been teaching me so much in the past few days. He has been teaching me patience as we work with the children we are teaching English to. I have really been enjoying my time here, though I do miss you so much. I love you.” -Anna V.

“Hey y’all it’s Esther. I’m so happy to let you know that I’m having so much fun with my teammates and I have gotten to know my new class that I am teaching English to. So I love y’all and God bless.” -Esther Y.

“Hey family! Hope you guys are doing well, and I can’t believe I am in Europe! Teaching this English camp is so fun, tomorrow will be day 3. I’m going over prefixes with my 12 yr olds, they already know so much English, and I’m learning some Hungarian too! Gyöhyör? means beautiful. We are also going to read more Bible stories to them. God is definitely working here. Thank you Prayer Partners for all your prayers, it’s making a big difference. Please pray for protection, unity, and strength for my team this week. Luv you guys!” -Amaya G.
