Much deserved but short night’s sleep in a noisy airport in Chicago.

Much deserved but short night’s sleep in a noisy airport in Chicago.

As I write this, the team is settling in to a much deserved but short night’s sleep in a noisy airport in Chicago.

The Commissioning Service on Saturday was the high point of the weekend for the team. It was a night of celebration filled with laughter, lots of praise, and a challenge to serve on the mission field. Following a brief celebration, the team got their first night’s sleep in the air conditioning since they arrived. The kids are thrilled to be out of boot camp and on their way to Zambia!

We spent the 2 days packing for our trip to Zambia.

On Monday, we took the kids to a laundromat to get their clothes clean and then top it off with some fast food from Toco Bell and Checker’s.

Today, we started our travels. We’ve arrived in Chicago and will fly out in the morning to Ethiopia and then on to Zambia.

The team is weary from travel, but has had the opportunity to share the gospel with at least and dozen people in a laundromat, restaurants, airports, airplanes, and trains.

Praise God! Keep us in your prayers.
