3 Reasons to Allow Your Teen to Go on a Mission Trip
‎

1. Your Teen Will Make a Difference Globally.

For the past fifty years, we’ve seen that teens can do amazing things for Jesus. Your teenager has unique God-given gifts and skills that could bless others and can have great impact for the sake of eternity. The world is hurting and broken and desperately needs to know the Light of the world.

Psalm‎ 96:3
Declare His glory among the nations, His marvelous works among all the peoples!

Your teen can be the light, share the Gospel and serve others. As your teen travels overseas, they will get to experience a new culture. They will gain friendships within the church internationally, giving them a global perspective of their relationship with God.

2. Your Teen Will Grow Spiritually and Be Unplugged.

Our mission trips cut out a lot of distractions, making it easier for your teen to focus on Christ. Through personal devotions, memorizing Scripture and Christ-centered community, your teen will encounter a personal relationship with the Creator of the Universe and will have the opportunity to be rooted and built up in Christ.

Colossians ‎ 2:6-7
Therefore, as you received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him, rooted and built up in Him and established in the faith, just as you were taught, abounding in thanksgiving.

Your teen will set their phone down for the summer and grow meaningful relationships with their team and God. By being unplugged, your teen will have the opportunity to experience life to the fullest. They won’t be distracted or online all summer; instead they will have a focused goal and a team of peers alongside them.

3. Your Teen Will Grow in Their Character and Work Ethic.

A Teen Missions team gets a lot done in a summer. Your teen will mature as they serve alongside others and work together for God’s kingdom. Teamwork is a huge part of our mission trips. Your teen will be challenged and stretched as they experience working with others for a common goal.

1 Timothy‎ 4:12
Let no one despise you for your youth, but set the believers as an example in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith, in purity.

There will be difficulties, but your teen will grow in their maturity as they learn to face challenges and work together as a team. So much can be accomplished through the faithful hard work of teens.

Teen Missions Has Been Taking Kids on Missions Trips for 50 Years

If you are open to your teen going on a trip, next you need to figure out who to send them with. We know that safety is one of your biggest concerns, and we want you to know it’s one of our biggest priorities.

Through the years as an organization, we’ve been able to adapt our program and put into practice methods that keep our teams safe and working efficiently. All of our staff and volunteers go through Ministry Safe training and have to pass local and federal background checks along with supplying several references. We treasure your teen, and we want them to have a safe and life-changing mission experience.

Joshua‎ 1:9
Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go.

God is with your teen and you, wherever you go. We have seen that the Lord is trustworthy and good, and we are so excited for all that God has in store for your teen.
