Bolivia Work
Teen Trip ages: 13-19
Known for its winding mountain roads and lush plains, Bolivia showcases some of God’s most beautiful creations. Serve the Bolivian people through construction projects and share the love of Christ with everyone you meet!
Ministry: Your project is to build a 30’ x 30’ classroom and office for Church of the Covenant, using the construction skills that you will be trained in during Boot Camp. In addition to this construction project, your team will also serve through painting and other cleaning projects at a school in Montero. The local churches will wholeheartedly welcome your team to share the Good News of Christ in partnership with them through dramas, puppets, songs, and testimonies.
Travel: After your training at the Lord’s Boot Camp, you will bus to the Orlando International Airport and board a flight across the Caribbean Sea to Panama City, Panama. A connecting flight takes you across the Amazon River Basin and the Andes Mountains before arriving in Santa Cruz. From the airport, you will bus 25 miles to the project.
Adventure: While in Bolivia you will visit Biocentro Guembe, and experience a natural paradise of more than 24 hectares, surrounded by exotic plants, lush forests, and exotic animals typical of the region. Here, you may walk through the world's largest butterfly sanctuary or swim in one of the park’s 19 swimming pools. Shopping in local markets for traditional clothing, handicrafts, wood carvings, woolen blankets, and jewelry will give you the chance to spend all your Bolivianos before returning to Debrief!
