Brazil Work
Dates: June 20 - August 4, 2023
Teen Trip ages: 13-19
Come alongside the body of Christ in northern Brazil by continuing construction on a local church, with opportunities to evangelize around every corner. You will come to love this diverse country with the many sights you will see and the people you will meet.
Ministry: You will continue construction on a sanctuary for the local believers by reinforcing with concrete, blocklaying with clay bricks, and placing clay tiles for roofing. There will be opportunities to share the Gospel through open-air and street evangelism using the tools you will learn at Boot Camp such as dramas, puppets, songs, and testimonies.
Travel: After completing training at the Lord’s Boot Camp, you will bus to the Orlando International Airport and board a flight that takes you across the Bahamas, the Caribbean Sea, Suriname, French Guyana and the Equator, before arriving in Sao Paulo, Brazil. From here, a connecting flight along the Atlantic coast takes you to Belem, located at the mouth of the Amazon River. A three-hour bus ride takes you to your project site in Juquiri, located on the banks of the Moju River.
Adventure: Put your bartering skills to use as you shop for your summer souvenirs at Ver-o-Peso, an open market in Belem. Your team will also visit the historic Forte do Presépio, which guarded Belém in the colonial days.
Project Expense: $3790 U.S. plus $30 Registration Fee
