From the Amazon River to massive cities, Brazil holds a variety of different landscapes, full of lush jungles and wonderful people. Brazil has many different ecosystems as well as exotic wildlife. Brazil isn't just about breathtaking landscapes though, it is also home to half of South America's population.
And here is where you come in: Brazil may be very religious, but spiritual darkness abounds as well. Spend your summer making an impact by rolling up your sleeves and helping a local community build a church. You will be part of something bigger, leaving your mark on Brazil and making a difference that will last a lifetime.
Project Expense: $4990 U.S. plus $30 Registration Fee
Once you arrive in Belem, Brazil, your team will have the opportunity to assist with projects such as painting, landscaping, and land clearing for future buildings at a Christian retreat center.
You and your team will have the opportunity to do door-to-door evangelism in the community and do outreaches to youth and children. The village kids will love getting to know you and your team through soccer, games and your presentations.
Following Boot Camp, your team will travel from Orlando International Airport to Sao Paulo, Brazil. After going through customs, you will board a flight to Belem, Brazil. An hour bus ride will take you to the retreat center located on the outskirts of the cit .
Your team will get to go on an ecosystem tour, learning about the local farming techniques and some native plants. On your way back to Florida, your team will get to experience a ferry ride across the bay where the Amazon river empties. You will have the opportunity to eat Brazilian Barbecue and shop for handmade items such as pottery, jewelry and hammocks.
