Teen Trip ages: 13-19
Eastern Asia

Location: Taiwan

Dates of involvement: June 18 – July 26, 2024

Ministry Focus: Evangelism, Children's Ministry, Cross-Cultural Missions

On the most mountainous island in the world lies Taiwan, a bustling country with over 23 million people. In such a densely populated island, only a very small percentage of the people are professing Christians. Though a daunting task to share the Gospel, you can be a part of the impact on the children in Taiwan.

You will assist with local children's summer camps and vacation Bible schools. Your team will have the opportunity to help with exciting activities, games, and classes. If you have a heart for Asia, love big cities, coastal towns and children’s ministry, this is the team for you!

Project Expense: $4590 U.S. plus $30 Registration Fee

Ministry Project

During your project time you'll be moving around to various VBS programs and Bible camps assisting the local missionaries with the kids. In your first week you'll be at Shout Camp—a kids’ Bible camp. You will help the leaders in different groups manage and encourage the kids. Then you will travel to Taipei to help with another camp, and finally, during the third week your team will travel back to the northeastern part of Taiwan where you will help at a kids’ program similar to a VBS.  Your team will share the Gospel through games, music, puppets and balloons.

Travel and Sightseeing

Following Boot Camp you will bus to the Orlando International Airport and board a flight to San Francisco and onto Taipei, the capital of Taiwan.

A day trip is planned to Taipei where you will go to the top of Taipei 101, currently the third tallest skyscraper in the world. A visit to the Feng Chia Night Market (the largest night market in the country) offers the opportunity to shop for souvenirs such as wall hangings, jewelry, silk scarves, clothing and famous Chinese teas. It also gives you the chance to sample food from over 150 food stalls!

Boot Camp
Boot Camp is a time of training to prepare the teams for their mission fields. Our Boot Camp program is designed to build team unity and provide practical, physical and spiritual training. We tailor each Boot Camp experience according to the skills needed for each team. This primitive training will be at the Teen Missions base in Merritt Island, Florida. A Commissioning Service will be held at the end of Boot Camp for all team members and leaders before flying out to their mission field.

To cap off the summer experience, teams will return to the Teen Missions base in Florida for a shared Debrief time with other teams. The debriefing experience is essential to our program for team members and leaders. During Debrief, the teams engage in different classes, allowing them to reflect on their summer. In addition, we focus on fellowship, sharing their experiences with the other teams, and become equipped to take what they have learned on the mission field back home to their churches, youth groups, schools and communities. In addition, we focus on fellowship, sharing summer experiences among the teams and preparing them spiritually, mentally, and emotionally for their return home.
