Lake Jipe is a fascinating inter-territorial lake that lies across the borders of Kenya and Tanzania. On the Kenyan side, it is located just south of the village of Nghonji, while on the Tanzanian side, it can be found within Mwanga District in the Kilimanjaro Region.

This picturesque lake is known for its natural beauty and is a significant resource for the surrounding communities.

Ministry:

This summer, your team will be actively engaged in providing eye care services and basic medical assistance across various villages while based at the Jipe Rescue Unit. In addition, you’ll also have the opportunity to contribute to any other development projects that are  needed.

There will be opportunities to share the love of Christ with the local adults, teens and children through games, music, puppets and dramas.

After Boot Camp training is completed, you will bus to the Orlando International Airport for a flight to Kilimanjaro via Detroit and Amsterdam. A short trip from the airport takes you to Teen Missions Kilimanjaro base. After two days of rest and preparation, you will board a bus and travel two hours through the countryside with spectacular rolling hills dotted with small villages to the Teen Missions Jipe base.

You’ll have an exciting opportunity to go on a safari at the Ngorongoro Game Park! This experience promises to be unforgettable, allowing you to witness the incredible wildlife and diverse ecosystems that the region has to offer. You'll have a chance to explore local markets and shop for unique goods! These markets are a treasure trove of handcrafted items, traditional crafts, and authentic local foods.
