Emily Brumbelow Newsletter (Winter 2024)

Dearest Supporters,

Praying that you all are doing well in this New Year!

School & Work Updates:

As I said in my last newsletter, I was teaching a class to the Bible school students last term, Christian Evidences. The course wrapped up on November 30th. I had a wonderful time teaching this class, and definitely learned a lot through it as well. This term (January-March) I’m teaching another class for the school, Cross-Cultural Communications. I’ve taught this class before, so I’m having a blast teaching it again. I love spending time with these students. Speaking of students, we added another student in January. There are now 13 students at the school! Praise the Lord!

Work is going well as I continue to Coordinate the Sojourner School of Ministry and work in finance. Things are busy with year end things and tax season, but going well. I’m thankful for God’s guidance in all that He has me doing. I appreciate your prayers, that I would be diligent and honoring to Him in all that I do!

Australia:
From December 4th-20th I was in Australia with all 12 Bible school students. We went there to assist with the Australian Boot Camp (training time) for Australian teens. We helped in several different ways; in the kitchen, out on maintenance crew, in the office, and different odds and ends. I personally helped in the kitchen cooking for the entire Boot Camp. It was a lot of hard work, but we had such a blast! The Australia base sent out three different national teams; one to Madagascar, one to the Solomon Islands, and one to Fiji. All the teams recently finished up, and are all back home now. It was wonderful to have this opportunity and experience! God is good. I’ll be sure to include one of my MANY pictures of the kangaroos that were around us on the property!

The Holidays:

After returning from Australia on December 20th, I went to Georgia to see my family for Christmas. Unfortunately, I was sick the entire time I was there, however, I was thankful to have my parents around to help take care of me! On December 28th, I flew up to Minnesota for New Years. I had a lovely time visiting my good friend Abby and her family. I got to meet her newest baby, Lettie, and spend time with her two other kiddos. Which is always an adventure with lots of laughs. I came back to Florida on the 2nd and jumped back into work and teaching. I was thankful for my time off and the friends and family I got to see.

What’s Upcoming?

Things are in full swing here at TMI Florida! We have our seasonal volunteers here for the winter and they have been such a big help! There’s always many projects to be done. We’re also prepping for our upcoming Mud Run on May 4th, and of course our summer teams! We have nearly 200 team members registered and more are coming in still. PRAISE THE LORD! We’re so excited. Please pray for us all as we plan and prepare for this summer.

Summer:

Speaking of the summer, I’m still scheduled to lead a team to Africa this summer! At this time my team is completely full which is so exciting. Please pray for my team as the team members and fellow leaders plan, prepare, and raise support to come.

Thank You!

As I say in every update, thank you so much for your prayers and support. I’m so thankful and grateful for each of you. I am praying for more ministry partners to come alongside me. I would like to raise around $600 more each month to meet my monthly budget through Teen Missions. I ask you to prayerfully consider partnering with me through the ministry of Teen Missions.
