Bolivia Team
We've been engaged in many classes this week including block-laying class. The team members learned to mix mortar to the perfect consistency (Goldilocks consistency- not too wet, not too dry), how to smear it onto cinder blocks with a trowel, how to level and square up the blocks and how to make corners. Lucas H., Matthew F., and Simeon M. among others excelled in laying blocks.
In music class, we learned a Spanish song and movements; Jack N. leads us off introducing the team in Spanish and then Alex G. will share his personal testimony as we conduct presentations overseas. Others will add in their testimonies as time allows in our presentations.
Their effort can't be bragged on enough in the Obstacle Course (OC). They've coordinated their responsibilities and after a few days of disqualifications, working out the kinks, and learning each other's strengths, they rocked it on Saturday, passing two teams and earning 3rd place.
Bolivia won with a score of 196-181 points in Run From the Devil—they cheered for each other with unbelievable gusto and it must be pointed out that Grant R. won his round, ending in a back flip as he was yanked backward. Their energy was over the top!
We came together to win the cleanliness award from Miss Piggy on Saturday night, and it must be said that they ARE checking up on each other to make sure it's totally clean—Dawson M. could be heard even today announcing that everyone needed to sweep their tents! Attaboy!
On Saturday during our free time, Mr. Robbie led us to break into three groups to go out on a mission at Boot Camp, praying for anyone they were led to as they walked the grounds. Some of the teens had never prayed out loud before and were bold as they led their team to pray. Asha C. prayed beautifully for an injured staff lady. Garrick B. readily volunteers to lead the group in prayer.
When the team was asked one thing they want you all to know about them, it's that every day just keeps getting better and better and they are becoming more and more solid as a team. Hallelujah! Today we celebrated the following: the Bolivia team has such a positive attitude and servant heart, willing to do what's asked. They are persevering through the bugs, heat, and at times being very tired.
Prayer requests:
-Sore feet, blisters and some heat rashes on a few teens.
-Further team unity.
-Safety on the OC
-God to break through in each one's life
Dear Mom and Dad, Boot Camp has been a great experience so far. I have learned so much. I am glad that God put me on this amazing team. The Obstacle Course is really fun. I have learned so much from all the people that have preached and I'm glad to be at Boot Camp and I'm ready to go to Bolivia. Love, Joselito S.

In Boot Camp, I've done a lot of great things. One of the best things about Boot Camp is my leader. His name is Jamey. He is an amazing guy. I would also like to shout out to my parents, Kristi and Eric N. You have been there for me whenever I needed you. I love and miss you. -Caleb N.
Hi Mom, Shannon, John, Ivy, and Ember! Boot Camp is going really well! It's been great getting to know my team and getting to see everyone again! Love you all! - Lizzy S.
I love you all so much. My experiences here have been hard but rewarding. My leaders here are all great and they show a lot of grace and mercy. The Lord has told me to be positive during this mission trip and to be a helping hand on this trip. P.S. How long do we have the baby goat? Are there 1 or 2? -Paul S.
