Hello friends, family and supporters! The Malawi team is doing fantastic!! Each team member has been working so hard and really pressing into our training period here at bootcamp. It has been a blessing to walk alongside these young men and women as they deepen their faith in Christ. So much has occurred since our last team update! On Monday the team learned how to communicate The Gospel in a new way through our first drama and puppet classes! Each of us really enjoyed these classes and the tools they equipped us with. After lunch we had a mock clinic where we practiced what it might look like on the field. Team members rotated through stations designated for eye glass, medical and the pharmacy. This was helpful for everyone to envision what it might look like on the field! On Tuesday we had our only concrete mixing class. Everyone worked diligently to use the short amount of time we had to learn as much as they could. It was particularly inspiring to see how each team member encouraged one another despite the hard work and heat. We also had another drama and puppet class which everyone enjoyed. Today our team did AMAZING on the Obstacle Course! We successfully lifted every single team member over the wall with 1 Minute to spare! Everyone was so excited and encouraged. We also had the opportunity to swim in the pool since we won Bro Pig!! It was an awesome time to fellowship and cool off. It has been an awesome day and morale is high! It’s hard to believe there is only ONE more full day of Boot Camp left!! Tomorrow we have our normal classes and a special work period to continue to grow as a team. Then starting Friday we begin to take Boot Camp down and pack out for the field!! We are all thrilled to be so close to traveling and on our way towards the lovely country of Malawi. Please be praying that our team will continue to be unified and desire to serve Christ more deeply. Pray for wisdom for each leader and team member as we share the Gospel while traveling and in Malawi, that the words we speak would be from the Lord and not ourselves.
Thank you for all the support and prayers! Blessings, Malawi Leaders
The Lord has really been preparing me to have a heart for the people in Malawi. He revealed to me Isaiah 61:1-3 which really encouraged me and confirmed to me that this was the right team to be on. God also has been showing me several parts of my life that I need to give to Him. Through all of Boot Camp, God has been teaching me to be less selfish and to work better with the team. Justice C.
Hello! Here at the Lord's Boot Camp I have been overwhelmed with joy even in the midst of all the hardships. The difficult things have unified our team and I think I can say for everyone that they have grown us closer to God. Personally, he has been teaching me to live my life with my hands open for the Lord all the time, especially when I'm uncomfortable. Addi V.
