The last leg of the race

Today is our team’s last day in the country of Malawi. As our team is coming to the end of our time here the teams from the Malawi Boot Camp are only just starting their mission trip. On Saturday all of the teens for the Malawian Boot Camp (294 teens in total for 12 different teams) arrived and we have had the opportunity to each join a different team to observe how they do classes and the general Boot Camp life as well as get to know some of the teens and encourage them in any way we can to boost the overall Boot Camp experience throughout the past few days. It’s really been an amazing time to see the differences and similarities between our Boot Camps and cultures in general. The team has especially enjoyed Our team has really enjoyed having the chance to hang out with all of the nationals. As well as helping with Boot Camp we were able to have one last sightseeing/souvenir day on Wednesday where we had a relaxing time at the beach in Senga bay to swim in lake Malawi we also enjoyed a delicious buffet of various Malawian dishes after our time swimming. We then went to a nearby souvenir market and the team got to put their bartering skills to the test getting souvenirs for themselves their families and their supporters. We’ll spend the rest of today packing our things up and cleaning to prepare for our travel to debrief starting Friday morning. We’re all sad to see our time in Malawi coming to an end but the team is excited to get back to America and see their friends and family. Please be praying for our team to have safe travels and that we would make it with all of our baggage intact pray also that our team would finish the summer out strong for the Lord as we go into a time of debrief and heading home.

Tunable E. This week we got to be a part of the Boot Camp at base, which was really fun and I can see how God is working out here. Through our time here I have also been able to grow deeper in my understanding of the Bible and have learned a lot. The other day so got to eat lunch at a plane at the beach. We got to spend time in the water with the team, there were waves. Can’t wait to see you guys.

Emily S. Hello from Malawi! It’s so sad to think that this is our last day in this beautiful country, but as much as I don’t want to leave I’m just as excited to see everyone back home. I miss yall so much. Our leaders have been incredible, making sure these last couple days are packed with fun and great team memories! Mr Jahswel has proved time and time again that he knows the BEST places to go here in Malawi, whether that’s 5-star restaurants on the beach, souvenir markets, safaris, or rocky islands perfect for snorkeling. Also the Lord has been teaching me so much these past couple months, this month in Malawi especially. God has just been speaking to me in so many ways, and I’m really excited to go back home and share what I’ve learned. I’ve enjoyed seeing God in the little things, and I’m just so grateful for the time I’ve spent here. 10/10, would try again!

Sam B. Hey yall. My time in Malawi had been exhilarating and fruitful. I’ve gotten to see God’s stunning creation beauty and faithfulness in everything we’ve done. Me and Sylvia have grown really close with each other and God. I’ve learned mouse and baby bird taste real good I also learned not to turn bug spray into a flamethrower. I am so glad that God has grown my faith so much and I hope to continue back home. Love you family. See yall soon.
