Reporting From the Warm Heart

Muli bwanji friends and family! Things are going well over here in Chipoka. These past few days have been fun ones! On Thursday afternoon we ran a clinic for the staff and students of the base here in Chipoka. The clinic ran smoothly especially because most of the staff and students speak English, so we didn’t need as many translators! On Friday morning we were able to get some work done on the project house that is here at the base and then in the afternoon the team members were able to get their bath and laundry done and rest for the rest of the afternoon. On Saturday morning the team got the opportunity to visit Pierre and Joy who run a cocoa plantation just about a 15-20 minute walk away from the Teen Missions Base here. The team was able to get a tour of their property which was very beautiful and hear about all the different types of cocoa that they grow there! In the afternoon the team got to practice their presentation and get some much needed rest. This morning (7/19) the team went to an Assemblies of God church in Salima and was able to share their presentation with the church including a new song they learned in Chichewa called “There’s no one like Jesus”. This afternoon the team went to another village to play soccer with the locals and share the love of Jesus with them. The team is on their way back right now and they are bringing pizza and ice cream from Kip’s (a local restaurant in Salima) ! This coming week we will be doing our last 3 clinics for our time here in Malawi and we will be helping with any projects that the base may need a hand with. Please pray for health for our team as a few of us are under the weather at the moment. Pray for our last work week here, that it is productive and the love of Jesus would shine through us brightly to the people we will be ministering to. Thank you all for your prayers and support, we miss you all greatly!

Hey yall! I have been loving our time here at the Chipoka base! Waking up to the sunrise each morning is truly so refreshing. Spending quality time with the Lord in His creation has been such a blessing and I’m so grateful for the opportunity to do so every day. I’ve also been loving 2 Corinthians! Love and miss you all! - Miss Cory S.

Hello everybody I miss you all so much! Being able to just be here in Malawi and getting to see the culture of the people here has been so amazing I love getting to see and learn about all the new things it’s been especially cool to see the ways that the different churches worship God over here. It’s been a really incredible thing to get to help lead this team the Lord has been teaching me new things every day. I can’t believe we’re already in our last week of our project time! - Mr. Evan W.
