Last clinic done and dusted

This week our team was able to run three clinics at the Teen Missions Rescue Unit, House of Joel. We decided it was best to run clinics in the mornings for these last few days so that we would have more time to do bath and laundry and rest. With less time for clinics, it meant the team had to work fast and efficiently to see as many people as we could in the time given. It was really amazing to see the team leaning into that and becoming more confident in each of the roles they had, even with more people coming to them than we were used to compared to other clinics we had run. Throughout our clinics we were able to help treat 437 people for medical problems, as well as many more patients who came for eyeglasses. Every one was prayed for and presented with the Gospel message. In total, 32 people gave their lives to Christ. Praise the Lord for that, and pray that their faith would grow! Continue to pray that the other people who heard the Gospel would be impacted by its message. It’s wild to think that the clinic portion of our mission trip is over already. It’s a little sad for some, but I think the whole team is happy with what we were able to accomplish. Praise God for His provision! As well as running clinics, the team has been enjoying our team time in the evenings, with one of the KPs giving a testimony and short message of encouragement each night, along with our gender-separate Bible studies, which have been a great blessing to each of us. The team has been getting to know the BMW students here at the base, playing soccer and volleyball with them, and they even got to go along to see how they harvest the fish from their fish ponds this afternoon. Malachi K. Muli buanji! Hope everyone is going good! Just finished our last day of clinic today and I think it went really well. These past few weeks of clinics have gotten really busy, but they’ve been life changing! I have been working a lot in the prayer and eyeglass stations, and I love to see the joy on peoples faces when they can read. It has also been one of the biggest blessings to be part of bringing people to Christ. Something the Lord has taught me through this is to be more bold in my faith, and to trust in His plan, because as we know, ours always change. I’m so excited for this next week, and to get back home and share all my stories with everyone. To everyone at home (and in Hungary) I miss you and am so excited to see you! I am so grateful for the work God has done in my team this summer, may God bless you!

Sylvia B. Hey guys, today was our last clinic. We were all exhausted but we made it through the day. There was 32 people who gave their lives to Christ. The Lord has been working in my life by chowing me to be grateful for everything and that everything is a blessing. When I get back home I’m going to kiss my pillow and bed and family and my warm shower and my dog. Our 1st day of sightseeing is tomorrow I can’t wait. Anyway I love you family.

Judah E. Dear friends and family. Our time in Malawi had been full of hands on medical experiences and lots of evangelism. It’s been a fantastic time being able to hang out with kids and play games with them. My favorite part has been a part of the eye glass clinic. Being able to see the joy on peoples face when they get the right glasses and they can actually read is amazing. Through personal devos and evangelizing to different religious groups such as Muslims and mormans I have strengthened my faith and beliefs. Working along side the team has really tied us together as one big family and we’ve all been making life lasting friendships. We’ve had the opportunity to enjoy many cultural dishes and thanks to Mr jahswel we have gotten to experience a lot of the Malawian culture and way of life. Today we finished our last clinic and are all excited for sightseeing and helping out with the Malawi boot camp. So excited to show you all the pictures and share all the stories when I get back!
