Cruisin’ right along

Hey all! The team made it to Livingston yesterday, and we have officially started the sightseeing portion of our trip! Monday (July 20) was pack out day. That morning, we were given a tour of the beautiful Ndola base, and got to see all the fields where the staff and students work. The base produces a lot of cabbage this time of year, the sales of which go towards supporting the ministry and staff there. During the afternoon, the team had a chance to visit a local roadside stand for some souvenir shopping! Many of the group got to barter for the first time, which is always an interesting experience. That evening, we were able to enjoy a cultural meal with all the students and staff. Nshima, chicken, and beans were just a few of the foods we enjoyed. Fun fact - all food tastes better when eaten with your fingers. Tuesday (July 21) was our looong travel day. Fortunately, we were able to ride in a charter bus instead of the mini bus we have been using! The team left Ndola around 4 am. Fifteen hours and a bucket or two of fried chicken later (three cheers for the Hungry Lion!) we arrived at Livingston, where we will be spending the remainder of our time here in Zambia. Today (Wednesday, July 22), we spent the morning on a safari! We were blessed with the opportunity to see animals such as zebras, antelopes, giraffes, hippos, and elephants. The crowd favorite was definitely the rhino walk, where we were able to walk up close to several white rhinos. The evening was spent on a Zambezi River cruise, enjoying the beautiful sunset and unlimited Cokes. Tomorrow we head to Victoria Falls for the final day of sightseeing! Please be praying for continued safety in the rest of our travels, both here in Zambia and on our way back to Florida.

Our time in Zambia has been very good. As we near the end, it is really cool to see how God has been protecting us and providing everything we need. He blessed us with a charter bus for the 15 hour ride, which made it go by a ton faster. Our team has continued to grow closer which is nice. God‘s really been opening our eyes to how good we really have it, whether that’s on the field or at home. He has also been showing me how to stay humble among my team. Overall, 8.5/10. - Levi S.

This has been the most impactful trip of my life. I was humbled by the conditions that the people of Lufwanyama and Ndola Zambia live in. But I was greatly encouraged by the joy with which they live. Even those who were already christian’s were still willing to sit and listen to the gospel with joy. We got to experience so many glimpses of Gods glory through our last few days in Zambia and I’m hopeful that our impact here can reach so much farther then I can even dream. - Hope T.

Hi Woof family! Our time sight seeing has been so fun so far! We went on a jeep safari this morning, and enjoyed a sunset river cruise while seeing hippos in the wild! I am so grateful to have seen multiple regions of Zambia, as I feel that I have really been able to get to know the people here throughout the clinics, but also experience God’s creation through the wildlife. - Hannah W.

We completed our long awaited 15 hour bus ride from Ndola to Livingston yesterday. Right before we left, we prayed that we would not crash into anything. The moment we started driving, we hit a tree and all we saw was leaves. Anyways we made it safely and the fancy charter bus made the ride so much better. We started our sightseeing today and it was so beautiful. We took a safari and saw so many beautiful animals. This evening, we got to experience a sunset boat ride. It was soso beautiful and it’s so amazing to see how beautiful the Earth is. - Bethel K.

Hey mom!! I hope you are reading this! It’s so crazy that our time here in Zambia is almost over! Our last clinic was on Saturday and it was a great one to end with! Then I timed the bus ride to Livingston and it was over 13 hours not counting stops! It was so fun! Then this morning we went on a safari and I think it was the coolest thing I’ve ever done! We saw zebras, giraffes, and even an elephant!! Then this evening we got to go on a little boat thing on the river and seeing the sun set over the river was so beautiful! They were both such amazing like “wow God created all of this” moments!! Love yall! Bye! - Abi C.
