Greetings, family and friends!
The Leadership Development Team is finishing strong their final week at Boot Camp before heading off to Mexico. Since the team members arrived for the other teams last Tuesday, our team has been busy helping around Boot Camp.
In the mornings, team members have had the opportunity to judge parts of the obstacle course and wash the kitchen's breakfast dishes. After that, we have our devotion time and then clean the bathrooms.
Each day for the last week, our team has gotten the chance to make mortar 1-2 times a day for the blocklaying classes. In the afternoons, we have turned the leftover mortar into concrete to be used in the tent sites. On Tuesday, the team members began taking turns leading at the concrete worksite, honing their project management abilities. We are looking forward to continuing to provide them with similar opportunities throughout the course of the summer.
In addition, many of the team have taught classes for the rest of Boot Camp. They have enjoyed the opportunity to serve in this way.
On Sunday, the entire camp had a pizza and milkshake bonanza. The team members enjoyed getting the chance to taste a cold drink for the first time in a while.
Our leadership team very much enjoyed working alongside the team members. Despite increasing weariness from the work with which we have been tasked, they have demonstrated commendable diligence and quality of work. The team is getting along well, and we are pleased to report that there have been no injuries. We have enjoyed hearing from you and can receive emails up until Commissioning Day on Saturday.
