Hello from Boot Camp!
In the mornings, we have had the opportunity to partake in classes as a refresher to prepare the team to teach at the Boot Camps both here and in Mexico. During one of our classes, the team learned a drama called "Battleground', which displays the Gospel narrative by portraying the spiritual battle that goes on for our hearts. Within just an hour of learning it, they performed it on video to be used as a teaching resource for future drama classes. The team did excellently and we are excited to see them continue to exercise their gifts throughout the rest of the summer.
With the other teams starting their Boot Camp on Tuesday, there is much work to be done in preparation. Our team had the opportunity to pack items such as ponchos, mugs, and hard hats that will be given out to the team members when they arrive next week.
In the evenings, we have had the opportunity to have some time together as a team to debrief together and encourage each other. On Wednesday night, we had the chance to hear from Steve and Gay Petersen. They challenged the team to not underestimate the value of the many mundane tasks that we will inevitably carry out throughout the summer.
Everyone is healthy and doing well, except for a few bug bites.
We are all looking forward to seeing the team members excel as they soon will begin with their responsibilities during the regular Boot Camp.
P.S.: We are able to receive emails this week up until Commissioning. The email format for John Doe is [email protected].
