Hola Amigos y Familia!

Scraping and painting for our very last work day!The team is coating the sides of the tabernacle, which is made of cinder blocks, with a white oil-based paint. We are currently playing fun games with the preteens at this Honduran Bootcamp. Each morning we have helped judge the obstacle course, which includes challenges that most kids can only dream of: climbing through a web of ropes, crossing various rope and swing bridges, swinging across the wet slough, crawling through tires in the mud, building Noah’s ark with giant walls crafted out of plastic jugs, etc. The staff here at this TMI Base have been using an outdoor cooking fire to prepare the meals for their bootcamp. It’s really interesting to see how they operate their bootcamp. We attended the first half of their evening rally yesterday and they called up a Piggy to announce the winner and LEAST clean team too! Yikes! In the teenager Boot Campamp their least clean team must KISS a real pig! We are going to get our final load of bucket laundry done today and pray that it stays dry long enough to pack dry clothes for the plane ride home. We are so grateful that everyone is still healthy- this is such a blessing. Thank you for praying. I think almost everyone has led our evening devotions now and we have our separate girls and guys devos tonight too. Tomorrow we get to go sightseeing at a popular botanical maze that also has pools! It’s 2 hours away so we’ll also get to see a lot of the Honduran countryside. We will eat out for lunch and dinner- so the cooks are pretty stoked about that! It’s been a real blessing to see these teens eat up some food though! Boy can they eat! I guess all of the hard work creates an appetite. Cassie W. is working on banana bread right now as a snack for when they finish up the painting project. Destiny L. also has KP (kitchen patrol) today so they get to help bake sourdough pizza, cake, and then clean up. (Plus they got some Honduran coffee!) Friday will be our clean up and pack out day. Ms. Jen will also fill out official forms online allowing us to legally leave Honduras. Then, on Sat morning we will leave for San Pedro Sula to do some last minute shopping and then we’ll stay there for the night (in the airport) to be ready for a 6am Sunday flight to Miami! Please pray for all of our traveling to be safe and that we enjoy each other and God’s Creation in Central America. Parents should listen out for a phone call on Sunday after we arrive in Orlando!
