Honduras behind us, Debrief ahead of us!

We are at the Teen Missions base! Our flights took off without a hitch, praise the Lord! We ate several meals in the airport and even found gluten free options for Abby V. Our sleep on the airport floor was tough last night, just a few hours until we were up and checking bags. Nevertheless, we made it to the USA! For our sightseeing day, we drove 2.5 hours to the largest hedge maze in Central America, called Laberinto de Cipreses. Even just driving across Honduras was fascinating- we saw a road-killed boa constrictor and a “anteater crossing” sign! At the maze we split into our 4 travel groups to traverse the extensive labyrinth of cypress trees. Over and over we hit dead ends until finally each group found the exit. We splashed and swam in descending pools before eating an exquisite Honduran meal in a mini- Noah’s ark restaurant on the property. We were STUFFED because portions are enormous in this country. We also played a friendly yet competitive soccer match with Ben, our missionary host! On our last day, also pack-out day, we attended a lively evening church service and got to present a drama and song. It was SO hard to say goodbye to the missionary staff at this Honduran base. They were extremely kind and hospitable to us; we’ll never forget these families. God has been so good to us and I can’t wait for you all to witness the growth in these team members. We have a full week of debriefing classes to help us prepare to go home. We get to go to an Orlando waterpark on Tuesday! Very soon, these teens will be back at home sharing all of the stories and may God be glorified in it all!
