Hola Familia y Amigos!

We are in a dash to train in all sorts of areas to be fully equipped to head out to Honduras in just 6 days! What a sweet bunch of teenagers they are too! Believe it or not, nobody’s tent flooded in the torrential rain we’ve been getting. They’ve gotten very quick at our team call and countoff, which will be essential when in the hectic airports and in Honduras. They’re currently leaving the pool area where they swam in the rain. This team loves to sing; we are perfecting our songs for our team presentation, which includes “Rest on Us” and “Whether it Rains. Next week we will be learning to conduct puppet shows and adding a few dramas to our evangelism “toolbelts.” Their EV (Evangelism) classes have been prepping them to strike up conversations with people they’ve just met in order to share the Good News or to point the way to Jesus. Rallies have been incredible for our team. They are laying down burdens that have been weighing them down, some for a very long time. In the past days, many, many of them have surrendered everything to the Lord who loves them and made them and wants more for them. The need for full surrender is a dominant theme in our team, as well as placing our identity only and completely in who God says we are. We completed a very hard team SB (Service Block) (formerly called a Special Blessing) because we dropped Kate on the OC (Obstacle Course) at the wall called Anxiety. She was perfectly fine and unharmed, but still we were given the task of hauling cinderblocks out of an old campsite to clean up the woods on property. Our team worked SO hard and kept a wonderful attitude in the intense heat. I know God is using all things to unify us. I’m so thankful to also share that our team is staying on top of their hydration and remaining healthy, praise God. Please pray for strength, endurance, and a missionary burden for the Honduran people to know Jesus.
