Hotter Than Hot, but Smiling Anyway!
The last several days the team has done an excellent job of supporting the Italy Boot Camp through ongoing work projects, teaching classes, and attending Rally. This week the team has taken on the task of sanding down tables and chairs here on the property that need to be repainted. Additionally, most of the team members have participated in teaching one or more class session for the teens, including puppets, drama, Sunday School ministries, and Wordless Bracelet explanation. Each morning, the team members also participate with supporting the Obstacle Course by judging a number of the individual obstacles. Despite the fact that the heat here has been a bit oppressive, the team is working hard to stay hydrated, work in shady areas, and have maintained great attitudes! The team has really enjoyed attending the cheers and worship portions of Rally each night. They have created very fun cheers and jumped right into the dance moves incorporated into the upbeat part of the worship time. Each night, a team member has shared an update of one of the other TMI teams out on project. They've also sung a few songs and performed the battleground This morning the lady leaders created an American-style breakfast of hash browns, scrambled eggs, bacon, and watermelon for all of Boot Camp. It was a lot of work, but we enjoyed seeing the enthusiastic response. Lastly, today, 7/15, we celebrated Mrs. Angela's birthday and Jack's belated birthday with yummy ice cream cake!
I didn't expect to be speaking this much Spanish in Italy, but it's been fun to be able to communicate with many of the Italy leaders and team members! I've enjoyed watching our team grow spiritually as they have leaned into what God is individually teaching them this summer. The sunsets here each. Mrs. Angela
It's really fun here. We judge the OC every day. The Lord is showing me to put others first and put my pride away. Obadiah M.
Hey family, I've been having a good time teaching classes and working together with the team. It's been cool interacting with the Italian teens so far and finding common ground even across the language barrier. It's been awesome so far, but I can't wait to see you guys again. Moriah B.
