Trail blazin’

Hello friends and family, we interrupt our typical report with a special report written with the help of the team members. From a work perspective, we’ve been focusing on finishing sanding chairs, teaching classes, and digging a trench for the aqueducts (water pipes). Miss Emily got the opportunity to be on national television by being interviewed about Teen Missions as well. Katelyn V. And Jack W., with Miss Emily, got the privilege of visiting a church and share about the team’s work in Florida and Italy. Additionally, one of the Colombian staff members, Joshua, got to share a message that encouraged the church there. On Friday night Moriah B got to lead worship for the camp’s evening rally. After team time we were treated by the pastor to a delicious snack of cheese that they hung over a fire and melted onto a piece of toast, they called it caciovello. On the 18th, the team traveled to a local town where they met up with the missionaries to help with a community project that included cleaning up a trail by weed whacking and varnishing a deck. Afterwards we were invited to a family’s house to fellowship with the pastor and his family that had planted a church in the town. After sharing a meal, the pastor explained how our work project was to reflect Christ to the community and it was a pleasure to be able to encourage the church and people in Sasso. Before leaving, we got to take a picture with the mayor of the town and then hang out in a nearby park. For evening rally the Boot Camp sang happy birthday for Mr. Mattias’ 19th birthday in three different languages. We also treated the Boot Camp to gelatos!! To wrap it up, here are some ways to be praying: for a strong finish to the Boot Camp, for the missionaries in Sasso for the growth of their church and for a spiritual awakening. Also, for the team members to stay strong and finish out their field time well.

Hello friends and family! Your teens have been a pleasure to lead and they are so much fun! Although our time here is coming to an end, I’ve had a great time with them and serving here in Italy. God is using our time in awesome ways and I’m honored to be a part of what He is doing in Italy. Ethan D.

Hi everyone! Italy has been a blessing, even though it’s been incredibly hot! I’m so proud of our team for working so hard and pushing through even in the midst of hot, hot weather! Thank you, parents for allowing me to lead your kids and to know them! They each have been such a blessing to me and it’s been so fun to be together this summer. I’m excited to see how God is going to continue working through our team! Emily B

Hello chat, it has been a such a blast to be here in Italy. The people here are awesome, the food here is delicious, the view is amazing, and the team is extravagant. It is so enjoyable to be able to see how the team finds solutions to problems and how they encourage each other to push through hard work and how they always have so much fun and so much happiness when together. They learn so much very quickly and are a great role model towards the Boot Camp here in Italy. Mattias L

Hey everyone! Italy has been awesome! Super hot, but we’ve gotten so much done here. I’ve loved leading and I have the best team members! It’s been so fun getting to know everyone and seeing the team members grow has been such a blessing. The food here - especially at the pastors house - has been DELICIOUS! The base is so gorgeous. And learning the dance for the flash mob has been tons of fun. Dancing in rallies is one of my favorite parts! I can’t wait to see you all soon! Love and miss you guys! - Elianna M.
