Malawi.. For Jesus!

Greetings friends, family and supporters! Thank you for your continued prayer and support for our team here in Malawi! Since our last report, we have traveled back “home” to the Teen Missions base in Chipoka. Thursday (7/9) was Jada P’s Birthday! The team was happy to enjoy pizza and ice cream to celebrate. Team members were telling her “Happy Birthday” every time they passed by her. The next day, (7/10), our team attended the ceremony for the Restoring Hope graduates. It was a mix of chaotic and entertaining. It was four hours of children reciting numbers, shapes and sentences. Our team tried their best to stay focused while there were children crawling on them and loud chatter everywhere. The team thought it was really cool to see a Malawian take on a graduation. After the graduation, locals sold the team fried bread rolls and popsicles! We ran clinic for two or three hours that evening for the staff and locals. The next morning (7/11) we packed up and moved out! The team enjoyed some cereal and apple sauce then got on the road. We had the opportunity to stop at a local market and stock up on some snacks for the rest of the week! The team was so happy to be back “home” on the Teen Missions base in Chipoka. We were all happy to see the staff and students again. The rest of the day was spent catching up on verses, making friendship bracelets, and playing instruments. Today we went to a local church where we were able to participate in worship and prayer. The church was very entertained to hear our team sing songs for them, even a song in Chichewa (the local language)! After church we had fun verse quizzing. Tonight we will participate in a get together with the staff and students here at the Teen Missions base. It is a party to celebrate American Independence Day which was on the 4th and Malawian Independence Day which was on the 6th! You can be praying for continued health among the team members and leaders and the upcoming clinics! Thanks for your prayers and blessings to you all!

Cody C. Malawi is beautiful! The culture is amazing! Our first clinic went well. We were able to help many people. Our team is bonding well. We are having so much fun. I personally have grown a lot with the Lord and I’m learning something new every day! Thanks for all your prayers and support.

Candice C. (Leader) Hi guys! I am loving it here! It has been amazing getting to know the team more. We are having so much fun with each other and with the people in Malawi. I have been enjoying traveling and seeing the different parts of Malawi. One of my favorite things to participate in is chapel with the students on weekdays. I am looking forward to the rest of this trip as well as going home and seeing all of you guys again! I have been missing everyone a lot and can’t wait to tell you all of our fun stories! P.S. Hi mom, I hope you had a good birthday
