Praise God! We’re making it through another week!

This week started with a nice homey Sunday service here on the YFC Retreat Property with just us leaders and the team members. Ms. Emma and Ms. Bekah led worship and the Word was brought by Pastor Joel! It was so good to worship with the team outside of our normal Bible classes. Next week, the local church is meeting here so that our team can fit for their service and show them some of our presentation!

In other news, we finally got some rain here in Romania. As soon as it first started to drizzle, all the students made a mad dash to get their clothes off the line. Although we very soon realized that Romania rain is not like Florida rain as we are no longer in the tropics. The next day and a half stayed that same consistent drizzly, sputter rain and with it a cold front that the whole team has enjoyed.

With the rain the worksite was moved inside an old barn that we hoped to renovate into dorms. However, after some consulting with an architect from Colombia, unfortunately the building will just have to be torn down and rebuilt. In preparing for Demo-Day our team has been working on removing all of the debris and things left in there overtime. It’s become a big treasure hunt for them as they’ve found clothes, books, a boomerang, and other children’s ministry supplies.

Looking forward, we have an opportunity to go evangelize in the market alongside the local church on Friday and a trip to the city this weekend. As leaders we have been grateful for the grace that the team members have had as we continue to figure out scheduling and what the week looks like as they come.

Blessings from the Romania Leaders
