Spirits are high as the team prepares to finally embark on their first boat evangelism trip! They have spent a lot of time practicing and preparing, but the time is finally here! Our leadership has been plagued with the question: “When can we go on the boat?” It is so relieving to finally have an answer.
The project we have been doing, building a fence, went incredibly smoothly. We managed to get about 100 yards of concrete and fencing laid, with the only hitch being a five foot wide stump combined with a broken axe.
The biggest point of excitement, however, is the trip we made to the beach on Sunday the 11th! One of the local BMW(Bible, Missionary, Work) students invited us to go a week ago but we were unable to do so until now. It wasn’t the best of days to go, it was pouring rain and there was thunder that kept us out of the water for the first hour, but after everyone was already thoroughly soaked, we hit the water and had a grand time.
We were also blessed with the opportunity to reach out to the local people with the BMW students as they took part in their local ministries. It was so refreshing to see the team members playing with the Honduran kids as they have been wanting to since boot camp.
The Lord has blessed us all with spiritual growth and good health and we would definitely appreciate prayer that such blessings continue into our week of boat evangelism before traveling back to the Teen Missions base at Santa Cruz.
Blessings,
