Over the last few days the team has developed a routine for our second week of supporting Boot Camp. Our team members have been busy keeping the Boot Camp bathrooms clean and operational, serving breakfast KP each day, helping as needed with various work projects, mixing concrete for classes and a concrete pouring project (headed up by Mr. Mattias, Jack, Obediah, and Harper, as well as teaching in puppets (Micah), drama (Miss Elianna, Wesley, Moriah, Katelyn, Allison), and Sunday School ministry classes (Abby). They attend one of the Bible hour classes each day and, of course, enjoy the worship, speakers and team time each night at Rally. Additionally, part of the team facilitates the Run from the Devil competition most nights between dinner and Rally. We also enjoy gathering together to share and pray after morning devos and lunch. Each day, we pray specifically for one of the other teams. Even though the days are hot and long, the team is persevering and chooses joy in tired moments. The one thing we can 100% control is our attitude!
We are grateful for overall good health and good sleep. We are really looking forward to Commissioning on Saturday and heading off to Italy!
From Wesley S.: Hi Mom & Dad! Italy LDT is doing great! We have been deep in service projects and teaching classes. I have been on mortar/concrete team in the mornings and teaching drama in the afternoons with Miss Elianna. I am having a great time! See you at Commissioning!
From Micah L.: This week has been a bit easier (Praise the Lord!) because I have been teaching puppets class in the afternoon instead of pouring concrete. In puppets, my job is to teach choreography. The morning mortar crew has been able to receive an energy boost from PB&Js, which has been awesome.
From Angela H.: I am grateful to lead on LDT again this year. All the team members are a delight and are open to leaning in and allowing God to teach and grow them. I also especially enjoy being able to be an encourager for the leaders and team members on the other teams that we are supporting as they go through Boot Camp, and being the team cheerleader. Go team!
