We have had a busy couple of days traveling...

We have had a busy couple of days traveling to and settling in at the base where the TMI Mexico Boot Camp will be held beginning next Monday. This Monday we traveled by vehicle caravan from San Luis Potosi to the camp, which is located near Guadalajara. It was about a 6 hour drive. Most of the team were together in a van, which made a stop for lunch and a tour of a nearby YWAM (Youth With A Mission) base. After lunch, we heard about the various branches of ministry that the branch is involved in. We also had the privilege of touring the incredible facilities whilst beholding the view of Lake Chapala. While this tour was happening, lady leaders Emily and Angela did some serious grocery shopping at the local Costco!

The camp is located in a lovely, peaceful area. We are joined here so far by Daniel and Sandra, TMI Mexico staff, as well as several Colombians who have come to lead the camp and Mexican teams. More leaders will arrive soon for leader training, which takes place this weekend. We are grateful to have bunk beds and hot water showers in the dorms, as well as a wonderfully supplied kitchen for cooking! The teens and adults have been enjoying the food.

The main task for the team currently is creating the Obstacle Course. They've been working on digging the Slough and building the Wall. They are working alongside several of the Colombian leaders, so Mr. Josh's Spanish has been a blessing. Ms. Angela also speaks a "rusty" conversational Spanish and is able to help some with translation. While they are working, one member spends an hour at a time in the Prayer Closet and two other team members help Ms. Emily and Ms. Angela in the kitchen on KP each day instead of doing the building work.

We have enjoyed more time together as a team since we have arrived, which has allowed us to begin our Genesis Bible Study, as well "GG's" (the special leader-led conversation times for guys and gals separately). The team members have also been working on their verse memorization and are super excited to have their first quizzing time tomorrow!

Thanks for faithfully praying for the team. Here are a few ways you can continue to pray.
- Multiplication of our time as we work to get the camp ready for next week
- Continued health and safety (we are SO grateful that no one has been sick in the 3 weeks we've been together other than some minor GI issues after travel!)
- Continued team unity, bonding and growth in loving each other well
- Spiritual growth among the team members and spiritual fruit at the upcoming Boot Camp

We hope you enjoy the photos below, as well as a couple of notes from team members.

"During the Lord's Boot Camp in FL God used the Mexico LDT team in many ways. First God used us to help classes, specifically we made mortar for the blocklaying classes. We are now in Mexico and we have the job of building the obstacle course for the Boot Camp that starts in a little less than a week. We can't wait to see how else God uses us. Love you, Mom and Dad." - Peyton

"From the moment I set foot in Mexico, I loved it - the culture, the people and the food. The other day we went to the YWAM base and it was beautiful. I keep thinking about how amazing God is to have created this." - Micah

"It's been such a blessing to be here in Mexico. I've loved getting to talk to the missionaries here and get to know a few of them. Keep praying for us while we get ready for Boot Camp!" - Evan

"Mexico has been amazing. I have already seen our team grow as well as seen some growth in myself. I can see God using our team in other peoples' lives. Please pray for team unity and the opportunity to impact others around us." - Lily
