Zambia Team Boot Camp Update — Week 2

Hello friends and family!Team Zambia is thriving here at the Lord’s Boot Camp, and all of us are looking forward to finishing up our training and heading to the field. They are such a positive group of kids, keeping wonderful attitudes through whatever has been thrown their way. The stormy weather has made it difficult to get laundry dry, but praise the Lord for a sunny day yesterday! The team members were able to get all of their clean laundry dry and back in their tents. This week we have started our drama and puppet classes, learning skits and songs to be used in their evangelism presentation. Monday was our last medical training class, and the team ran a joint mock clinic with the Malawi team. They were able to practice screening patients, medical and eyeglass treatment, and running the pharmacy. Each and every team member did an amazing job, and they are all ready for the clinics in Zambia! Please pray for strength and perseverance as the team finishes up Boot Camp, and that the team will be able to prepare mentally for whatever they may see in the field clinics. Also, be praying for dry weather and cool breezes!

Hello! Boot camp has been really tough so far but I have been having a great time! The Lord has really just been showing me what it means for my strength and joy to come from Him. I am so thankful for the team the Lord has placed me on! They are great! - Abi C.

Hi mama! Boot camp is definitely hard and different from what I am used to, but the Lord has taught me perseverance and strength. - Bethel K.

Throughout the course of boot camp, I have climbed walls, run obstacle courses, and acted in a drama. The most important thing happening, however, is that I am growing in my faith and in my relationship with God. Boot camp has contributed to not only medical training and reliance on the Lord, but a supportive team who has become a family! - Hannah W.

Boot camp has really helped me with trust. Whether it's trusting your teammates on the wall or trusting God in hard times, trust is something you need for anything you go through. Trusting God can help me make decisions and keep me calm. Boot camp, though it can be hard, can teach you life lessons that can be used for years to come. - Luke C.

Hey parents, I'm doing fine, I have a couple blisters but they don't hurt too bad. I wrote a rap last night for our cheer. Everyone loved it. How is my baby doing (my Sunny/Zoe)? I miss y'all so much, and I miss my bed and the AC. I don't hate bucket showers or bucket laundry, it's just a little hard to get clean. And can you please bring me some candy to commissioning? - Audrie R.
