All of the Fiji team members have arrived and settled in!

BULAH! All of the Fiji team members have arrived and settled in! They had a typical Florida welcome with an afternoon thunderstorm followed by heat and mosquitos. They are adjusting to the Florida environment like pros! The first day was simply registering and settling, with an evening rally. At the end of the rally service, we sat in a big circle under the Big Top and shared our highs and lows. This willmbe a nightly tradition on our team: everyone sharing a low point of their day and a high point, though they don't HAVE to have a low point. Almost everyone said that their high point was finally getting to meet their team and interact with each other. Friendships are quickly forming and there is a conscious effort being made to have team unity!

On Orientation Day, our team learned all of the policies and had a mini introduction to some of the classes they can expect to have. They got to stretch their limbs though because they ran their first OC (Obstacle Course). We have a lot to learn about the obstacles, but I am proud of our team for getting a total of 10 people over the Wall at the end!

Today is the kickoff of our training classes. The day started with running the OC at 6:06 am and we got a total of 12 people over the Wall! So far, we have attended blocklaying and carpentry. Our team has been very respectful and attentive to their teachers. They seem to be picking up the skills quickly and helping each other out when needed. We will begin some evangelism classes in the afternoon.

We won the Clean Award last night, which means that we will get ice cream with our supper tonight! Everyone is eagerly anticipating a cold treat—being clean pays off! We hope those habits continue, and maybe we can win the Clean Award several times during our time at Boot Camp! Until next time!

BULAH! Only nine more days of Boot Camp!

BULAH! Only nine more days of Boot Camp! Last night at rally, our team started the "Ten More Days" chant until all of Boot Camp joined them. They have been more creative with their team cheers in the past at Rally, even having done a cheer to the tune of the Farmers Insurance's jingle

4 more days!!!

We can see the light at the end of the tunnel! Boot Camp is almost over, and the excitement on our team is tangible. They are so excited to get to use all of their new skills on the field. Just at lunch today, they were discussing which puppet performances they want to do in the orphanage in Fiji.

MOCE (goodbye) Boot Camp!

Today is the last day of classes and we are all thinking about and anticipating pack-out. For the next two days, we will help to tear down Boot Camp and pack all of our supplies for Fiji. Our pack-out assignment tomorrow is going to be taking down Big Top 2 and preparing all of the food we are taking with us.

The Fiji team has arrived safely in Fiji.

The Fiji team has arrived safely in Fiji. They will be doing a report in the next few days.

Bula! We have arrived safely to Fiji and settled in!

Bula! We have arrived safely to Fiji and settled in! We are loving the beautiful property and weather here. There are coconuts, grapefruit, lemons, and sugarcane all around. Matthias has been showing the team how to open and eat the coconuts. The beautiful Sleeping Giant mountain makes a gorgeous background for our devotions and Bible studies. Our God is truly an artist!
