All the travel went extremely well!

All the travel went extremely well! The team handled themselves well in the airport and on the plane. Most of them took advantage of the 15 hour flight and got caught up on some much needed sleep.

The team has settled into staying in South Africa. The Teen Missions base is beautiful and has wonderful accommodations for us. The team has lovely dorms, warm showers and a nice living space. They’ve also enjoyed the view of the beautiful sunsets on the base.

The team spent the first few days getting settled. We went on a much needed cold weather clothing shopping trip. I think the whole team has been taken by surprise at the chilly temperatures in South Africa. During morning devotions the team can be seen huddled in blankets while drinking hot tea to stay warm.

The team has started on the renovations. They began by clearing out the dorm rooms they are going to paint for the Teen Missions Bible school in South Africa. They scraped the ceilings, painted primer, washed walls and hauled old furniture out. The team worked hard and got a lot done.

The team is already enjoying spending time with the staff kids that live on the base. I’m sure they will enjoy the upcoming evangelism that is planned for the coming weeks.

We eagerly look forward to what the Lord has next for the team!
