Colombia team sharing the Gospel

The Colombia team had been so productive! On Thursday the team finally got to start laying concrete for the side walks. They also started putting barbwire on the fence posts. Throughout the rest of our time the team is determined to get this side walk done! Which will not be a very easy task because we are in the mountains. They have been working on extreme inclines and will continue to do so!

Friday we were called to a mandatory dance class with the students. Dancing in the church here in Colombia is very important. We all worked very hard to try and fallow their moves.
Saturday morning we all got onto a bus and traveled for 6 hours to the city of Fresno. We had the opportunity to present at the home church of a staff member here in colombia. We were so blessed to be able to serve the Lord in Fresno and to be served as a team. When we arrived Saturday we were greeted with lunch and the team got ready for their first presentation of the day for their children’s program.

The team did a total of two presentations Saturday evening and they also got to practice their new dance moves during worship. Everyone was so excited to be able to join in with our songs and puppet dances. This was such an encouragement to our team! I want to shout out Taneisha O.R. And Miah E. These girls have worked so hard translating Spanish and English for us and that is not an easy task at all. It’s such a blessing to witness these girls serving the Lord with the gift of language.

We ended Sunday evening by going out on the town and getting ice cream! Even though we were all so full from the amazing meals we were fed, it was so fun to have fellowship with one another and to go out on the town.

This morning we got to sleep in a little bit which was a blessing. Church started at 9:00am and since we were sleeping at the church we didn’t have far to go. The team did their third and final presentation and Mr Chad gave a message.

The time came for us to say goodbye and the people of Fresno were so appreciative of our team and the work that they put in for their church family!

After another 6 hour drive the team, staff and students were eager to get back in time for the final soccer game of this tournament, where Argentina and Colombia are playing. We are so sleepy but ready to get back to the work sight tomorrow morning.
Please continue to pray for safety while we work and good health!
